2020

Signed by the Tampa Bay Rays in free agency on February 3 to a Minor League contract and invited to spring training… was assigned to Triple-A Durham and the Rays Alternate Training Site before being traded to Boston on July 21...With Boston, went 0-0 with a 7.07 ERA (11 ER/14.0 IP) in eight relief appearances, sitting down 11 batters against two walks...Threw a season-high three strikeouts on Sept. 9 vs. New York (Yankees)…gave up two hits or less in four appearances, giving up no hits in two appearances.

2019

Split a third consecutive season between the White Sox and Triple-A Charlotte…was with the White Sox for four stints, including his second Opening Day roster and two trips to the injured list, both for right shoulder inflammation…his win on May 31 vs. CLE was his first as a starter since July 21, 2018 at SEA, snapping a streak of 14 winless starts (0-10)…did not record an out in his start on July 28 vs. MIN, the first time a White Sox starter exited without retiring a batter since Gavin Floyd's injury-shortened start on Sep 20, 2010 at OAK.

Made six appearances with Mesa in the Arizona Fall League, going 4-0 with a 4.74 ERA (13 ER/24.2 IP) and 17 strikeouts … helped lead the Solar Sox to the AFL championship … started the title-clinching win over Surprise. Combined with Frankie Montas and Drew Steckenrider on the third no-hitter in AFL history on 11/1 at Surprise … started the game, allowing one walk over 5.0 hitless IP.
