Full name is S¨®crates Orel Brito¡was named by his father after the ancient Greek philosopher¡his middle name is Orel after former Major League pitcher Orel Hershiser¡earned the 2015 Aurelio Rodriguez Award, presented annually to the Diamondbacks¡¯ minor leaguer who exhibits the spirit of Aurelio during spring training by showing dedication and giving their best effort every day¡Rodriguez was a Diamondbacks minor league coach in 2000 and died that September in a car accident.

2019
Spent majority of season with Buffalo (Blue Jays' AAA)...Led all Toronto minor leaguers in extra-base hits (51) while finishing second in total bases (201) and fourth in RBI...Attended spring training with Arizona before being claimed off waivers by San Diego on 3/27...Was a member of San Diego's Opening Day roster but did not appear in a game before being designated for assignment on 3/30...Was acquired by Toronto on 4/2 in exchange for minor league outfielder Rodrigo Orozco...Snapped an 0-for-21 streak to begin his Jays career with a run-scoring single in his first at-bat on 4/19 at Oakland...Was designated for assignment on 5/10 and outrighted to Buffalo on 5/16...
