2021

Went 1-2 with a 3.44 ERA in 14 relief appearances with Milwaukee after being acquired via trade from Pittsburgh on 6/25...Had two stints with the team (7/7-7/30 and 9/4-end of season)...Held opponents to a .224 batting average...Retired nine of 14 first batters faced (64.3%)...Stranded four of five inherited runners (80.0%)...Picked up his only win of 2021 - and second of his career - in a 7-4, 11-inning victory on 7/17 at Cincinnati...was his first Major League win since 2016...Was on the injured list (COVID-19) from 7/31-9/3...Was on the NLDS roster but did not pitch...Went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and five saves in 21 relief appearances between Triple-A Indianapolis (15g) and Triple-A Nashville (6g)..Signed a one-year contract on 11/30, avoiding arbitration.

2020

Attended spring training with San Francisco...Was designated for assignment on 8/2 and was assigned to Giants alternate training site...Was released by San Francisco on 8/9...Was signed by the Pirates as a minor league free agent on 9/5 and was assigned to the alternate training site in Altoona.

2019

Signed by the Giants to a minor league contract in February, Gustave split the 2019 season between Class A Advanced San Jose (three games), Triple-A Sacramento (29 games) and the Giants (23 games)... Did not pitch until May after recovering from Tommy John surgery in June of 2017... Combined for a 2-2 record and a 5.52 ERA (18er, 29.1ip) in 32 games (one start) at the minor league level while posting no record with a 2.96 ERA (8er, 24.1ip) with San Francisco... Was recalled from Triple-A on July 31 with the Giants needing a few relievers following trades earlier in the day... Had his first career Major League plate appearance on August 11 vs. Philadelphia, striking out on six pitches from RHP Jake Arrieta...Recorded his first career save on September 7 at Los Angeles-NL, holding a 1-0 lead at Dodger Stadium.

2018

Missed the entire season recovering from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery.

2017

Made the Astros Opening Day roster, pitching in six games in April before suffering a right forearm injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the season...was on an Opening Day roster for the first time in his career after a strong Spring Training (1.80 ERA, 10 SO, 10.0 IP)...placed on the 10-day Disabled List with forearm tightness on April 20 (retroactive to April 19)...underwent UCL reconstruction surgery on June 21, ending his season.

2016

Made his Major League debut and appeared in 14 total games in the Majors over the final two months of the season...was scoreless in 10 of his 14 outings and had six multi-strikeout appearances...walked four and struck out 16 in his 15.1 innings pitched...recalled to Houston on Aug. 10 for his first career Major League stint... optioned to Triple A Fresno on Aug. 14...was recalled from Triple A again on Sept. 2...made his Major League debut in Game 1 of the Astros doubleheader on Aug. 11 at MIN...allowed one run on three hits in 1.0 inning of work...earned his first career win on Sept. 27 vs. SEA after tossing 1.1 scoreless innings...pitched in 47 games at Triple A Fresno, going 3-3 with three saves, a 3.79 ERA (24ER/57IP), 23 walks and 55 strikeouts.

Jandel spent the entire season with Quad Cities (A) in the Houston Astros' system...Set career highs in appearances (23), starts (14), innings pitched (79.0) and strikeouts (82)...Posted a 3-2 record with 2 saves and a 3.35 ERA in 12 appearances at home, compared to a 2-3 mark and a 7.00 ERA on the road...Posted a 3-0 record with two saves and an 0.78 ERA (2 ER in 23.0 IP) as a reliever…struggled as a starter, going 2-5 with a 6.75 ERA (42 ER in 56.0 IP)...Pitched for Gigantes de Cibao in the Dominican Winter League...Went 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 10 appearances out of the bullpen.
