2019
Chad Arthur Wallach had his 2019 season cut short after being placed on the Injured List with a concussion on May 24 (retro to May 22)... Went on two rehab assignments, appearing in four games total, but each ended with recurrences of symptoms...Batted .250 (12x48) with three doubles, a home run, and three RBI in 19 games with Miami...In final game, on May 21 at Detroit, went 2x5 with two doubles and two RBI, including the goahead RBI in the 11th inning. It was his second career go-ahead RBI and second multi-RBI game.
2018
Made first career Opening Day roster...On April 1 vs. the Cubs, recorded first career multi-hit game and first career RBI, which plated game-winning run in 6-0 win...Optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on April 16...Missed time in Minors from June 2 to July 13 due to broken left hamate bone...Was batting .333 (8x24) with two doubles, two homers, and five RBI in his final eight games for Baby Cakes prior to the injury... Went on four-game rehab assignment to GCL Marlins from August 4-8, going 5x14 with five RBI...Returned to New Orleans on August 9 and batted .216 (11x51) in 14 games before being recalled by Miami on September 1; was 10x33 (.303) in last nine games before recall...Hit first career home run on September 22 vs. Cincinnati.

Spent majority of season with Triple-A Louisville (64 games), but also saw Major League time in two stints with Reds (6)...Both promotions followed trips to the paternity list for Reds' catchers: replaced Stuart Turner from August 25-27 and Tucker Barnhart on Aug. 31, remaining with team for rest of season...Made MLB debut with a start on August 27 vs. Pittsburgh, going 0x4...In his debut, became second Reds catcher (also, Turner) to make Major League debut in 2017. Wallach caught RHP Tyler Mahle, who was also making MLB debut. It was second time in franchise history, both in 2017, that a Reds' starting battery debuted in same game (Rookie Davis & Turner on April 6 vs. Philadelphia)...Second start and appearance came on September 3 at Pittsburgh... Notched first MLB hit on Sept. 20 vs St. Louis, a pinch-hit single off of Sam Tuivailala...Threw out 26.7 percent of runners attempting to steal (12-of-45) at Louisville...Homered in back-to-back appearances for Bats on July 3 & 5...Had .198 average through July for Louisville; batted .327 (16x49) in 13 games in August to bring final average to .226.
