Pitched in first spring training with the Twins (2nd of career) and optioned to Triple-A Rochester April 23 ... Made four starts for the Red Wings, going 0-1, 3.48 ERA (20.2 IP, 8 ER) with three walks and 16 strikeouts ... Added as 26th man for doubleheader May 21 vs. Kansas City; started Game 2 that day, earning his first major league win, allowing three runs on five hits in 7.0 innings pitched ...
