Travis Paul Jankowski…he and his wife, Lindsey, have four children: Bentley, Jett, Radleigh and Wrenlyn… former Padres teammates Cory Spangenberg and Colin Rea served as groomsmen at the couple’s wedding…wore the nickname “Fred” on his Players’ Weekend jersey… was nicknamed Fred after Fred Rogers (of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood fame) by his older brother and sister because he would watch the television program when they returned home from school as kids.

2023

POSTSEASON: Was rostered by Texas for the entirety of the 2023 postseason, going 3-for-9 (.333) with one double and two RBIs… posted a multi-hit effort (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI) in Game 4 of the World Series at ARI...lone starts came in RF for Games 4-5 of the World Series for injured Adolis García…recorded straight steal of second base as pinch-runner in 12th inning of CIN’s 1-0 loss in 2020 N.L. Wild Card Game at ATL, his lone playoff appearance prior to 2023.

2022

Combined to bat .164 (9-55) in 44 G with NYM and SEA… no errors in 40 G/17 GS in the outfield…batted .360 (9-25) with four BB/2 SO over his first 16 G/8 GS thru 5/3 vs. ATL-G1…went 0-for-last-30 to end the year beg. 5/3, as last hit was for Mets on 5/3 vs. ATL-G1 (sixth-inning single off Charlie Morton)…was selected to Mets roster on 4/6, then was on IL from 5/26-7/10 and had surgery to repair fracture of left fourth metacarpal… sustained the injury making a diving catch in LF on 5/25 at SF… was designated for assignment by Mets on 7/29, acquired by Mariners in 8/1 waiver claim…lone game with M’s was 8/2 at NYY (K in lone PA), his most recent MLB contest, as he was DFA’d by SEA on 8/5 and given unconditional release on 8/10…signed minors deal with NYM on 8/16 and would play at Syracuse (AAA) the rest of the way.

2021

Appeared in 76 games with the Phillies...Played all three outfield positions...Tied for third in the NL with five bunt hits...On June 23 vs. Washington, slugged his first home run since September 26, 2018 at San Francisco...Collected a career-high four RBI, July 16, vs Miami (G1)...Had a career-high three walks on August 17 at Arizona...Tripled twice in a span of three games with an at-bat, August 26-29...In his 30 starts, posted a .372 OBP with six doubles, one triple, one home run, eight RBI, 17 runs and 18 walks.

2020

Appeared in 16 games with CIN, his first season with the club...On 8/26, was optioned to the team’s alternate training site, where he remained for the rest of the regular season...Made his first career postseason appearance, 9/30, in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series at ATL (pinch-ran and recorded a SB).

2019

Missed most of the season recovering from a broken left wrist suffered while diving for a ball in the outfield during a spring training game...made 20 of his 25 apps, including 2 starts, for the Padres in September...On 10/31 was acquired by the Reds for international cap space...On 12/2 was signed to a 1-year contract through the 2020 season, avoiding arbitration.

2018

Led the Padres in stolen bases (24) and hit leadoff a clubhigh 70 times, setting career highs in hits (90), at-bats (347), AVG (.259), triples (three), HR (four) and RBI (17)...Began the season with El Paso (AAA) and slashed .363/.452/.450 across 22 games with the Chihuahuas…earned Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors on 4/29 and had multi-hit efforts in eight consecutive games from 4/20-28...Recalled from ELP on 4/29, spending the remainder of the season with SD...Hit safely in 14 of his first 18 games with SD from 4/29-5/19 and slashed .390/.471/.508…his .471 OBP over the stretch ranked as the highest mark in the NL and second-highest in the majors, behind only LAA Mike Trout...Went on to slash .211/.290/.270 in 46 games from 5/20-7/15 leading up to the All-Star break...Slashed .257/.318/.360 in his 53 post-All-Star break games...Swiped a career-high four bases on 8/12 vs. PHI, becoming the first Padre to have a four-steal game since Everth Cabrera on 9/30/12 vs. SF...Appeared in 117 games total and made 78 starts in the SD outfield, including 29 in RF, 27 in CF and 22 in LF... Split the season between SD and El Paso (AAA) while also making a five-game rehab assignment with the AZL Padres (R)… missed 87 games with a right foot bone bruise... Made his second consecutive Opening Day roster and played 27 games with the Padres, making 22 total starts with 17 in left field, three in center field and two in right field... Hit .187 (14-for-75) with two doubles, one RBI, 10 runs and four stolen bases in his 27 games with SD... Placed on the 10-day DL on 4/23, transferred to the 60-day DL on 6/6 and was officially reinstated from the 60-day DL on 8/4... Hit .278 (5-for-18) in five rehab assignment games for the AZL Padres and then .266 (37-for-139) in 35 games for El Paso before being recalled by the Padres on 9/18... Stole eight of nine attempted bases while with the Chihuahuas and had multi-hit efforts in five of the team's last seven regular season games, hitting .400 (14-for-35) over the stretch.

2016

Made his first career Opening Day roster and played in 131 games, making 82 total starts this season with 77 in center field, three in left field and two in right field...His 30 stolen bases ranked tied for 10th in the Majors, eighth in the National League and second among all rookies, the fifth-most ever by a Padre in their rookie season...Also ranked tied for second in walks (42) and tied for seventh in runs scored (53) among all Major League rookies...Reached base safely (via hit, walk or HBP) in 24 straight games from 7/31 - 8/26, the longest by a Padre in 2016 and the second-longest by a National League rookie, behind a 26-game hit streak for the Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz...hit .315 (29-for-92) with 19 runs scored, 11 walks and 11 stolen bases over that span...Became just the fourth Padres player to ever post a streak of reaching base safely in 24-or-more straight games during their rookie season and first to do so since Roberto Alomar had a 25-game streak in 1988...only others to do so were Benito Santiago (34 in 1987) and Gene Richards (28 in 1977)...When leading off an inning, he hit .306 (41-for-134) with 19 walks and an .773 OPS (.392 OBP, .381 SLG)…his .392 OBP when leading off an inning ranked 24th-best among qualifying Major League hitters, 16th in the NL and third among all Major League rookies...Hit .275 (69-for-251) against right-handed pitching compared to a .155 (13-for-84) average against lefties...In games in which he stole a base this season the Padres were 19-7 (.731)...Hit .308 (32-for-104) with five doubles, one home run, three RBI, 11 walks and 18 runs scored over 27 games in August ...Entered the 2016 campaign rated as the No. 6 prospect in the Padres organization by Baseball America.

Made his Major League debut for the Padres, playing in 34 games total for San Diego after splitting the rest of the season between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso....Began the year with San Antonio, hitting .316 (89-282) with 23 stolen bases and 50 runs scored in 73 games for the Missions....Named a Texas League Mid-Season All-Star, starting the game for the Texas League South team batting leadoff in center field… went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the game on June 30....After the Texas League All-Star game, missed time with San Antonio from 7/1-21 while playing for Team USA in the Pan-Am games in Toronto, hitting .385 (15-39) for Silver-Medal Winning Team USA, the second-best average for USA behind Tyler Pastornicky (.419)...After returning from the Pan-Am games played in one game for SanAntonio on 7/21 before being transferred to Triple-A El Paso on 7/22, hitting .392 (38-97) with nine stolen bases and 19 runs scored in 24 games for the Chihuahuas....Had his contract selected by San Diego on 8/19 for his first career Major League call-up, spending the remainder of the season with the Big League club....Made his Major League debut for the Padres on 8/21 with a start vs. STL at Petco Park, batting ninth in center field… went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored in his Big League debut....With two hits in his first two plate appearances in his debut, became the third Padre to have two hits in his first two PA in his first game and first since Wiki Gonzalez on 8/14/99 (also, John Sipin on 5/24/69)....Over his first three career games from 8/21-23, went 5-for-9, the first Padre to have five hits in his first three career games since Donaldo Mendez in 2001....Started 27 games total for San Diego, with 21 in center field and six in right field....With runners in scoring position for San Diego, hit .304 (7-23), including .364 (4-11) with RISP and two outs....Hit his first career home run on 9/13 at SF with a solo home run off of Mike Leake.
