Spent most of the 2018 season with El Paso (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League...Made three starts and four appearances across three stints with San Diego, posting an ERA of 9.60 (16 earned runs/15.0 innings) in his first taste of major league action...Was with the Major League club June 1, July 9 and July 31-August 11...Made his MLB debut on June 1 vs. Cincinnati and also made spot starts on August 4 at Chicago-NL and August 11 vs. Philadelphia...At Triple-A he limited batters to a .249 (49-197) road average with only three home runs allowed in 52.0 innings...Allowed 14 homers in 81.1 innings in El Paso...In August, went 1-0 with a 3.74 ERA (nine earned runs/21.2 innings) in four starts...Right-handed batters hit .250 (79-316) with five homers and a .679 OPS compared to a .942 OPS for lefties.

Made 10 starts for El Paso (AAA), posting a 5-2 record and a 4.39 ERA (27 ER, 55.1 IP) before being placed on the seven-day disabled list on 6/2 with a lower back strain...Made four starts on a rehab assignment with the AZL Padres 2 (R) and posted a 0-1 record with a 5.40 ERA (6 ER, 10.0 IP) before being activated from the seven-day DL on 9/6...Made two starts for El Paso in the Pacific Coast League playoffs... allowed three earned runs on four hits in 3.0 IP in El Paso's 7-6 comeback victory to clinch the series in the semifinals on 9/8 vs. Reno...earned the win in 5.0 scoreless IP on 9/15 vs. Memphis to give the Chihuahuas their first win in Game 3 of the PCL championship series...Following the season, made six starts for the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League, going 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA (15 ER, 25.0 IP)...earned the victory and allowed just one run and three baserunners in 6.0 IP on 11/15 vs. Scottsdale to clinch the West Division and advance to the AFL championship.
