Graduated from Santa Monica (CA) HS...Signed a letter of intent to pitch at the College to Southern Nevada, but opted to sign with Toronto after being selected in the seventh round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft...Signed by the Orioles as a minor league free agent on March 16, 2022.

2021

Had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk on 7/24...Made his Major League Debut on 7/27 vs. MIA (2.0 IP, 2 H, ER, 2 K, HBP); entered in the eighth inning and struck out Magneuris Sierra, the first batter he faced, for his first career strikeout...Made two appearances for LAD after being claimed off waivers on 8/9; designated for assignment by LAD and reclaimed by BAL on 8/23; recalled from Norfolk on 8/25 for his second stint on the O’s big league roster...Made three appearances for the O’s during his first stint on the roster from 7/27-8/6, pitching to a 14.73 ERA (6 ER/3.2 IP)...Appeared in 19 games (1 GS) with the Orioles during his second stint with the club from 8/25-10/3, going 1-3 with a 6.41 ERA (14 ER/19.2 IP) and .295 OBA (23-for-78)...Earned his first-career win on 9/10 vs. TOR, striking out a career-high-tying three batters (also: 9/1 at TOR)...Allowed just one home run in 24.1 innings this season; one of 13 pitchers in the majors to have worked at least 24.0 innings while giving up one home run-or-less...Did not allow a home run over his last 21 games played (21.2 IP)...Suffered back-to-back losses (9/22-24) after blowing his fourth save on 9/24 at TEX...Made his first-career start on 9/21 at PHI (1.0 IP, H, HBP, 2 K)...Pitched on back-to-back days five times this season (last: 9/21-22)...Charged with his first loss and third blown save after allowing three runs on three hits over 0.1 inning on 9/19 at BOS; snapped a career-long streak of six-straight scoreless outings from 9/6-18 (6.1 IP).

Did not play during the regular season, because of the cancellation of the minor league season due to the COVID-19 pandemic...Made one appearance for the Royals in Spring Training.

2019

Opened the year with Northwest Arkansas (AA), but was promoted to Omaha (AAA) and made his final eight appearances with the Storm Chasers…combined to go 4-9 with a 5.13 ERA (64 ER in 112.1 IP) in 29 overall outings, including 16 starts...Named a Texas League midseason All-Star for the secondstraight year and fourth in a row in which he's been selected to an all-star game...Went 3-8 with a 5.12 ERA (47 ER in 82.2 IP) as a starter with Northwest Arkansas, compared to a 6.28 ERA (10 ER in 14.1 IP) as a reliever...Pitched to a 2.48 ERA (8 ER in 29.0 IP), going 2-1 and holding the opposition to a .192 opponents' average (20-for104) over his first five starts (through April 25)…however, he allowed four runs or more in each of his next seven outings (May 1-June 5), posting an 8.45 ERA (31 ER in 33.0 IP)...Fanned a season-high eight hitters in consecutive starts: April 9 vs. Arkansas (6.0 IP) and April 15 at Springfield (5.0 IP)...Posted a 4.11 ERA (7 ER in 15.1 IP) in eight relief outings with Omaha…earned his first Triple-A victory on Aug. 20, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings at New Orleans in a 7-5 triumph in 10 innings.

2018

(AAA), being promoted to Triple-A on June 4… combined to go 4-5 with a 4.09 ERA (40 ER in 88.0 IP) in 40 appearances (10 starts)... Selected as a Texas League mid-season All-Star, but did not pitch in the game due to his promotion to Triple-A...All 10 of his starts came with Springfield…collected a season-high eight strikeouts over 6.0 scoreless innings in a 5-0 victory over Midland on April 14...All 29 of his appearances with Memphis came out of the bullpen…posted a 1.64 ERA (2 ER in 11.2 IP) and a .194 opponents average over eight July appearances...Between his two stops, held left-handed batters to a .139 average (21-for-151) with just five extra-base hits.

2017

Pitched the entire season at New Hampshire (AA), his first season spent at one affiliate since his first pro season in the Gulf Coast League in 2013 ... Made his first relief appearance since 2014 with 2.0 relief innings at Portland (9/4) in the final game of the season ... Selected to the Eastern League All-Star Game and pitched 2.0 innings allowing a two hits and striking out four ... Led the Eastern League in walks (83) and tied for the league lead in wild pitches (13) ... Induced a team-leading 13 grounded into double plays

2016

Pitched his first career complete game and shutout on July 26, defeating the Harrisburg Senators 1-0...Was named Pitcher of the Week for the Eastern League; Aug. 14... Selected as a Mid-Season All-Star for the FSL...Split the season between Dunedin (A) and New Hampshire (AA), setting a career-high in starts (27), IP (146.1), ER (57), HR (10) and BB (71)...Held opponents scoreless over 7.0 innings four times, with three of those starts coming with New Hampshire...Was invited to Major League spring training on January 12...Was reassigned to minor league camp on March 10....Assigned to the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League, made four starts.

2015

Pitched at three affiliates during the season making a total of 26 starts between Lansing (A), Dunedin (A) and New Hampshire (AA) ... Posted career-highs with 12 wins and 115 strikeouts ... Struck out a career-high 10 batters over 7.0 scoreless innings at Daytona (8/6) ... Ran off a 26.0-inning scoreless streak from 7/20-8/18/15 ... Was named an MiLB.com Blue Jays Organizational AllStar ... Rated as the No. 2 prospect in the Blue Jays organization by Baseball America.

2014

Posted a positive reverse split holding left-handed batters to a .178 (13-73) batting average with only two extra base hits (both doubles) ... Allowed two unearned runs in 19.0 innings as a relief pitcher.
