Thomas Nelson Doyle...son of George and Laura...has two older siblings, Matt and Claire, and a twin sister, Katherine. Graduated from Flint Hill High School in Oakton, Va...Attended the University of Virginia where he was a Third-Team All-ACC honoree in 2017. Became Virginia’s closer in 2017 and converted 14 saves, tied for second in the ACC and the fifth-most for a single season in UVA history. Enjoys playing basketball, golf and ping pong in his free time...his baseball superstition is always putting his left cleat on before his right cleat. He once spent a summer working on an alpaca farm in New Hampshire...an item on his bucket list is visiting all 50 states (has visited 44 so far).

2024

In 32 relief outings with Triple-A Gwinnett in the Atlanta organization, went 3-2 with a 3.57 ERA (40.1 IP, 16 ER), walking 17 and striking out 43 while saving three games...Appeared in six games with Gwinnett before going on the injured list April 18-June 11 with a left oblique strain...appeared in one rehab game with the FCL Braves before returning to Triple-A...Posted a 1.77 ERA (20.1 IP, 4 ER) through his first 16 games following his activation...Overall, held right-handed batters to a .163/.247/.267 slashline while lefties hit .292/.370/.528.

2023

Pitched 15 games at the Major League level for Colorado after he was selected to the roster on July 14...Pitched to an 0-1 record and a 6.85 ERA (18 ER/23.2 IP) in the majors, striking out 18 and walking 13...Appeared in 33 games with Triple-A Albuquerque, going 4-4 with a 3.41 ERA (14 ER/37.0 IP).

2020

Made his Major League debut on Sept. 23 at San Francisco, his first of three relief appearances...Had his contract selected from the alternate training site on Sept. 23 and made his debut that night at San Francisco … entered the game in the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing 5-2 … allowed two runs on four hits with no walks and one strikeout in one inning pitched … struck out Austin Slater for his first Major League strikeout...Made three total appearances, allowing runs in two of his outings … tossed a scoreless inning Sept. 25 at Arizona...Invited to his first Major League Spring Training, where he went 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA (4.0 IP, 1 ER), one walk and three strikeouts over four appearances.

2019

Spent the entire season in High-A Lancaster and was a Post-Season All-Star after going 2-3 with a league-leading 19 saves and a 3.25 ERA (36.0 IP, 13 ER)...His league-leading 19 saves were a career high...Placed on the seven-day injured list on May 1 with back spasms, and was reinstated June 4...Struck out four batters over 1.1 innings of work twice: April 10 vs. Lake Elsinore and June 5 at Rancho Cucamonga.

2018

Led the South Atlantic League with 52 relief appearances and 18 saves...Posted a 0.92 ERA (29.1 IP, 3 ER) across 27 appearances in the second half.

2017

Made his professional debut with Rookie Level Grand Junction...Made 20 relief appearances and recorded three saves in his first professional season...Went 2-1 with a 3.12 ERA (8.2 IP, 3 ER) and two saves in two opportunities over seven appearances in August.
