Was born in Las Matas de S anta Cruz, Dominican Republic, which is home to an impressive selection of attractions and experiences, making it a popular vacation spot. Was used primarily as a starter in the Minors through the 2019 season. Since 2020, he's pitched exclusively out of the bullpen. Has whiffed 443 batters in 429.1 career innings in the minors, good enough for a 9.3 K/9ip ratio. Some of his hobbies include hunting and swimming. Has a small farm in the Dominican Republic where he raises cows and goats. His favorite player was the late Royal Yordano Ventura. His favorite kind of music is reggaeton and his favorite artist is Daddy Yankee. He will dance to any kind of music.

Was signed by the Giants on Feb. 1 and appeared in 16 games, posting a 3.63 ERA (7er, 17.1ip) across four different levels of the Giants organization... Did not pitch in a game until June 7 with the ACL Giants Black...missed the first two months of the year on the injured list... Did not pitch after Aug. 5 with Double-A Richmond, missing the final two months of the season with bone spurs in his right elbow... Struck out 24 batters in 17.1 innings in his 16 games across the four Giants affiliates. 

2020

Pitched in one game for the Marlins in 2020. Allowed two hits, both solo home runs, in one inning in his Major League debut on Aug. 6 in Baltimore. 

2018

Made career-high 21 starts for Single-A Jupiter, posting 0-9 record, a 4.03 ERA (96.0 ip/43 er), and a career-high 101 strikeouts... Ranked ninth in Florida State League in strikeouts...Tied single game career-high 10 strikeouts on two separate occasions: over 5.2 shutout innings on June 11 at Lakeland and over 5.0 innings on August 23 at Florida...Allowed two-or-fewer runs in six consecutive starts to begin season, with an ERA of 2.23 (24.2/6)...Did not allow more than four earned runs in any start, reaching that mark just four times; allowed two-or-fewer in 12 of his starts...Held opponents to a .239 average, including a .206 (36x175)mark by left-handed hitters...Opponents hit just .209 (23x110) against him with runners in scoring position, and just .174 (8x46) with RISP and two outs...Struck out 31 batters in 110 at-bats with RISP (28.2 percent), and 12 of 46 with RISP and two outs (26.1)...Named Midseason All-Star after making 10 first-half starts, posting a 2.44 ERA (48.0/13) and striking out 47...Participated in the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and had one strikeout in 0.2 scoreless inning...Had an ERA of 2.92 (24.8/8) with 31 strikeouts and nine walks in five June starts. Spent all of 2019 with Double-A Jacksonville, going 7-11 with a 3.50 ERA, setting career highs in games (25), starts (24), innings (138.2) and strikeouts (127)...Allowed two hits or less in eight of his 24 starts, pitching at least five innings in each outing. Threw six hitless innings against Mississippi on Aug. 9, striking out a career-high 13.
