School, where he also played football (WR) and ran track in addition to baseball...Verbally committed to the University of North Carolina prior to being drafted...Is one of six children (four boys and two girls).....is the youngest son...Former Notre Dame and NFL star Raghib “Rocket” Ismail is his godfather...His father, Andre, was a linebacker on Notre Dame’s national championship team in 1988 and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions in the NFL and Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL...His oldest brother, T.J., played at Notre Dame as a wide receiver and for the Detroit Lions and New York Giants in the NFL...His brother, Malachi, played wide receiver at Appalachian State and went to training camp with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears...Supports The Lisa Foundation for Brain Aneurysms (lost father to one in 2011)...Enjoys golf, fishing and cooking.

Began the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he batted .292 with nine HR and 34 RBI in 62 games before he opted out of his Dodgers contract on 7/1...Signed as a free agent with Milwaukee on 7/3...Appeared in seven games with the Brewers, making four starts (2g at 2B, 2g at DH)...Had two stints with the team (7/3-7/9 and 7/16-7/28)...Produced a pinch-hit, three-run double in his debut with the Brewers on 7/3 vs. Chicago-NL, tying the game at 6-6 in the seventh inning.....Brewers won, 8-6...Batted .232 with three HR, 14 RBI and 10 SB in 41 games at Triple-A Nashville.
