NICHOLAS CRISPEN BRETT ENRIGHT...Wife, Erin...Was selected by New York-NL in the 2015 MLB Draft out of the Steward School in Henrico, VA, but elected to attend Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va...Favorite team is the Green Bay Packers...Middle name is after Brett Favre...Favorite players growing up were Favre and Aaron Rodgers....During most of COVID he worked as a cart person at a golf course...Hobbies are golf and video games, as well as going on walks/hikes with his wife.

2024

Limited to 16 appearances during the season due to a right shoulder strain than sidelined him for four months from April 20-Aug. 29...Was very effective over his 17.0 innings, limiting batters to a .155 average against with a WHIP of 0.82 and a strikeout/9.0 IP of 16.4....Did not allow a run over his first 13 outings, covering 14.1 IP... Recorded at least 1 SO in all 15 relief outings...RHH were just 4-for-34 (.118)...2.70 ERA in two playoff games (1ER/3.1IP)…Underwent four rounds of immunotherapy for his Hodgkin’s Lymphoma following the season and received positive scans in December 2024...Has avoided chemotherapy and radiation to date...Is looking to spread awareness about his disease.

2023

After being selected by Miami in the Minor League portion of the Rule 5 Draft from the Guardians on Dec. 7, 2022, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on Dec. 23, 2022 and began the season on the Injured List (first noticed a lump in his neck on 12/19/22)…Following a rehab assignment with Miami, where he went 1-0 with a 3.94 ERA (7ER/16.0IP) in nine appearances across two levels, the Marlins opted to let him return to Cleveland...He made 25 appearances at AAA Columbus, going 5-2 with a 5.45 ERA (21ER/34.2IP) with 38 strikeouts and 17 walks...Feels well enough to be able to continue playing while undergoing rounds of immunotherapy over the course of the last year, which he continues to undergo...Has avoided chemotherapy and radiation to date...Is looking to spread awareness about his disease.

2022

Nic Enright was selected by Miami in the Minor League portion of the Rule 5 Draft from the Cleveland Guardians on December 7, 2022...Split last season between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus, combining to go 5-1 with a 2.88 ERA (65.2 IP/21 ER) and 0.959 WHIP in 48 games with 14 walks and 87 strikeouts...With Double-A Akron, Enright made 19 appearances and recorded 10 saves, 37 strikeouts and eight walks. Posted a 3.77 ERA (28.2 IP/10 ER)...With Triple-A Columbus, made 29 appearances and recorded one save, 50 strikeouts and six walks. Posted a 2.68 ERA (37.0 IP/11 ER)...Recorded at least one strikeout in 43 of his 48 outings, including 25 outings with two-or-more strikeouts...Went more than 2.0 innings twice (2.2 IP, May 29 and 2.1 IP, June 5).

2021

Split 2021 between High-A Lake County and AA Akron, combining to go 4-4 with a 3.41 ERA (22ER/58.0IP) in 34 games with 13 walks and 88 strikeouts....Boasted a 1.47 ERA (3ER/18.1IP) with 32 strikeouts and three walks in 11 appearances for Lake County before being promoted on June 25...Posted a 4.31 ERA (19ER/39.2IP) with 56 strikeouts and 10 walks in 23 games to finish the season with Akron...He struck out 38.4% of batters faced while walking just 5.7%.

2020

Gave up just one earned run in 18 innings, good for a 0.50 ERA, in 15 appearances in the Arizona League...Struck out 26 batters, while walking eight.
