Spent the entire season with Triple-A Round Rock, going 2-3 with four saves and a 3.82 ERA (33.0IP, 22H, 15R/14ER, 22BB, 44K, 4HR) in 32 relief outings¡recorded a scoreless outing in eight of his final nine appearances of the season, going 1-0 with three saves and a 1.13 ERA (8.0IP, 3H, 1ER, 4BB, 10K, 1HR) in that stretch.

Evans made four relief appearances (4.0 IP) for the Rangers in his 1st Major League action, putting forth scoreless efforts in three of four games while striking out four of 14 batters faced with no walks¡was in Major League spring training camp and worked 5.1 scoreless innings during Cactus League play before camp was shut down in March¡he later participated in the club¡¯s Summer Camp in July as a member of the club¡¯s initial 60-man Player Pool, was assigned to the Alternate Training Site on 7/19 in the lead-up to Opening Day, and remained at the Alternate Site until he was recalled by Texas on 9/15¡made ML debut on 9/18 at LAA, allowing a HR (Albert Pujols on 2nd pitch) and HBP (Justin Upton) to 1st two batters faced before retiring final two on flyout and GIDP...did not permit a run in final 3 G/3.0 IP, which included two perfect outings to finish the year (retired all six BF w/ three K¡¯s)...recorded 1st career strikeout (Jared Walsh) on 9/21 at LAA¡was rated by Baseball America as the Rangers¡¯ 16th-best prospect and as having the organization¡¯s Best Fastball.

Selected as organization's Minor League Reliever of the Year for the 2nd straight season…split the season between Frisco (AA) and Down East (A+), combining to go 6-0 with a 0.90 ERA (6 ER/60.0 IP) over 47 relief appearances…held Carolina League batters 9-for-71 (.127) prior to a 5/29 promotion, and was named to the circuit's mid-season All-Star team…allowed runs in just 3 of 30 G with Frisco…overall, opponents slashed .119/.266/.175/.441 (23-194) for the season with 7 XBH (5 2B, 2 HR)…his 15.00 strikeouts per 9 figure led the Texas organization and was the 2nd-highest mark in all of MiLB (min. 60.0 IP)...ranked among Texas League leaders (min. 35.0 IP) in SO/9 (2nd, 14.78), ERA (2nd, 0.96) and opp. BA (2nd, .114)… recorded at least one SO in 41 of 47 G and had multiple SO in 34 of 47 G…reached the 100-strikeout mark by whiffing his final batter faced of the season on 9/2 at Northwest Arkansas...rated as the organization's 16th-best prospect entering the year (BA).
