Opened the season with Triple-A Norfolk after being optioned during Spring Training on 3/20. Would be recalled five different times (5/12, 6/9, 6/30, 8/11 and 9/13) and optioned in-season to the Tides five times (5/14, 6/10, 7/18, 8/24, & 9/14). His longest stint on the active roster was 18 days from 6/30-7/17...Went 1-0 with a 4.30 ERA (7 ER/14.2 IP) with 16 hits (two HR), two walks (one IBB), one hit batter and nine strikeouts in nine MLB appearances...Earned his lone win by retiring his only batter faced to end the ninth inning on 8/13 at SEA...Six of his nine MLB games were scoreless...Was 4-0 with a 2.33 ERA (10 ER/38.2 IP) with 31 hits (three HR), 11 total runs, 13 walks and 41 strikeouts in 36 games with the Tides...Tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one walk and one strikeout on 9/28 vs. Durham as Norfolk won Game 3 of the International League Championship Series...Notched a team-high eight holds with Norfolk, while ranking second in saves with seven...Completed at least 1.0 inning in 33 of his 36 appearances with Norfolk. Spent the season with Class-A Delmarva for the second-straight year...Made a career-high 16 starts and appeared in 23 total games...Earned South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week honors (7/8-14) after throwing 7.0-perfect innings and striking out 11 batters...His 91.0 innings pitched and 100 strikeouts were also career-highs.

Pitched the entire season with Class-A Delmarva, appearing in a career-high and team-best 40 games...His 2.09 ERA (15 ER/64.2 IP) also led the Shorebirds and he recorded nine saves in 14 opportunities.
