Signed by Philadelphia in free agency to a Minor League contract in the offseason...With Triple-A Lehigh, tossed a 2-3 record with a 2.50 ERA (10 ER/36.0 IP), striking out 37 batters against 18 walks...Made his Major League debut on Aug. 21 versus the New York Mets, pitching 0.1 relief innings and giving up two hits, one earned run and one home run¡his only appearance for Philadelphia...Claimed off of waivers by Oakland on Aug. 24 and optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas...With Triple-A Las Vegas, went 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA (3 ER/5.0 IP) with eight strikeouts against five walks...With Oakland had a 1-0 record with a 2.08 ERA (3 ER/13.0 IP) with 16 strikeouts against five walks...Notched his first Major League win with the White Sox on Sept. 14 at Texas, tossing 1.2 relief innings¡striking out one and giving up one walk...Following the season, pitched for Cibao in the Dominican Winter League¡held lefties to a .173 batting average and righties to a .267¡recorded a season-high four strikeouts with Triple-A Las Vegas in 1.1 innings.

Spent the majority of the season with Double-A Richmond, posting a 2.05 ERA (11er, 48.1ip) with 57 strikeouts and a .195 opponents average against...appeared in one game for Triple-A Sacramento and tossed 2.0-scoreless innings... Named an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star for Richmond after posting a 2.78 ERA (7er, 22.2ip) in 16 games.

Spent the entire season with double-A Richmond, going 5-2 with a 2.19 ERA (12er, 49.1ip) in 47 relief appearances ... Converted 18 out of 20 saves with the Flying Squirrels ...
