Full name is Anthony Gilbert Misiewicz (pronounced “mih-SEV-itch)…played college baseball at Michigan State University (2013-15) where he complied a 13-12 record and 3.26 ERA over 168.1IP…was named the “Top Pitching Prospect” in the summer collegiate Great Lakes League in 2013…graduated from Anchor Bay (Mich.) H.S. in 2012…threw a no-hitter during senior season at Anchor Bay…was a two-sport athlete, also playing quarterback in football and was the team captain.

2023

In 11 combined relief appearances with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers and Yankees, went 2-0 with a 7.36 ERA (11.0IP, 17H, 11R/9ER, 6BB, 8K, 2HR)…spent the majority of the season in the Minors with Triple-A Reno, ACL D-Backs Black, Triple-A Toledo and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, combining to go 5-2 with one save and a 4.10 ERA (41.2IP, 38H, 20R/19ER, 18BB, 49K, 6HR) in 33 appearances (two starts)…spent spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals after being acquired from Kansas City in exchange for cash considerations on 2/8…was acquired by Arizona from St. Louis in exchange for cash considerations on 3/31…in seven relief outings with the Diamondbacks, went 1-0 with a 5.63 ERA (8.0IP, 5ER) and 6K…was claimed off waivers by Detroit from Arizona on 6/18…made his only appearance with the Tigers on 6/27 at Texas (0.1IP, 4H, 3ER, 1HR)…was claimed off waivers by the Yankees from Detroit and assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 7/6…in 19 games (one start) with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, went 3-1 with one save and a 3.91 ERA (25.1IP, 20H, 12R/11ER, 12BB, 30K, 5HR)…made his Yankees debut on 9/10 vs. Milwaukee, earning his second win of the season after tossing a scoreless 13th inning (1.0IP, 1BB, 1WP)…exited the game in the sixth inning on 9/15 at Pittsburgh after he was struck by a line drive…was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list on 9/16 and missed the remainder of the season…was non-tendered on 11/17.

Appeared in 32 games between the Mariners and Royals, combining for a 1-2 record, 4.34 ERA...Was traded from the Mariners to the Royals on Aug. 1, in exchange for cash considerations...Was optioned from Seattle to Tacoma (AAA) on June 10 and subsequently designated for assignment on July 31...Reported to Omaha (AAA) after the trade and made eight appearances before being recalled to Kansas City where he finished out the season. ..Made eight consecutive scoreless appearances from 6/23-7/23 while in Tacoma...Overall, made 53 appearances between his time in the Minor and Major leagues...Struck out a career-high six batters over 2.0 innings at CWS (9/1), also established his single-game high with 35 pitches...Did not allow a baserunner over his final two appearances in October facing nine batters.

2021

Went 5-5 with a 4.61 ERA (28 ER, 54.2 IP) with 53 strikeouts and 15 walks (2 IBB) over 66 games...Led all Mariners relievers with 66 appearances...became first Mariners pitcher to lead the club in appearances in back-to-back seasons (2020-21) since RHP Brandon League in 2010-11... Did not allow a run in 50 of his 66 appearances this season, but allowed two or more in nine of the 16 appearances he allowed runs... Earned first MLB win on April 1 against San Francisco tossing a scoreless 10th inning....Did not allow a run in first 9.2 IP to start the season...1-1, 1.58 ERA (4 ER, 23.1 IP) over 26 games June 11 to Aug. 14...held opponents to .207 (18x87) BAA w/3 BB, 24 K against him in that span....Six consecutive scoreless appearances from Aug. 22-Sept.10...tossed 5.2 innings over the six games.

Made his first Opening Day roster and pitched in 21 games for Seattle, going 0-2 with a 4.05 ERA (9 ER, 20.0 IP), 25 strikeouts and six walks…14 of 21 appearances were scoreless, and 17 appearances included at least one strikeout...Ranked 8th in the American League among rookie pitchers with an 11.25 K/9 ratio, directly behind teammate Yohan Ramirez (11.32), (min. 20.0 IP)...Among AL rookie pitchers who threw at least 20.0 IP, Misiewicz’s 3.04 FIP was tied for 6th best with Aaron Slegers-TB and Peter Fairbanks-TB, trailing only James Karinchak-CLE (1.52), Kyle Zimmer-KC (2.37), Codi Heuer-CHW (2.77), Matt Foster-CHW (2.88) and Rafael Dolis-TOR (3.02)...Along with José Marmolejos, Yohan Ramirez and Evan White, made his Major League debut on Opening Day (7/24 at HOU)...the four debuts marked the most on Opening Day in club history (previous: 2, 1989, Ken Griffey Jr. and Omar Vizquel)...the Mariners became the first team to have four player make their Big League debut on Opening Day since the 1957 Chicago Cubs (Dick Drott, Cal Neeman, Bob Will and Casey Wise).

2019

Spliit the season between Double-A Arkansas and Triple-A Tacoma, going 9-8 with a 4.59 ERA (67 ER, 131.1 IP) with 35 walks and 125 strikeouts in 26 games (24 starts)… led the Rainiers in wins, starts, innings and strikeouts…PCL Pitcher of the Week, July 29- Aug. 4, after striking out 18 and allowing only one run over 14.0 innings during that stretch.

2018

Made 21 starts with Double-A Arkansas… on the 7-day Injured List, May 31-June 28 (left forearm strain); included appearing in two games on rehab assignment with the AZL Mariners…struck out a season-high 8 batters in 6.0 innings on Aug. 16 at Frisco…played for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League.

2017

Made 28 combined starts between High-A Modesto (SEA), Double-A Arkansas (SEA) and Double-A Montgomery (TB)…California League Pitcher of the Week twice in 2017: May 1-7 & June 5-11…acquired by Tampa Bay from Seattle along with Luis Rengifo (inf) and a player to be named later in exchange for Ryan Garton (rhp) and Mike Marjama (c) on Aug. 6…recorded first career complete game shutout on Aug. 27 vs. Mobile (9.0,5,0,0,1,2)…acquired by Seattle from Tampa Bay on Dec. 13 in exchange for international slot money.

2016

Spent season with High-A Bakersfield… named California League Pitcher of the Week, April 25-May 1 (8.0,2,0,0,1,4)…led all minor league players with 29 starts…recorded first complete game in Bakersfield's 2-1 loss at Visalia on July 8.

2015

Began his pro career with Short-A Everett…tossed a season-high 16.0 scoreless innings over four games July 13-28.
