Made his Major League debut on April 18 vs. ATL and notched his first Major League hit four games later with a single in the seventh inning on April 27 @ CHC...Concluded his first Major League season making 24 starts at catcher and appearing in 33 games, where he tallied three 2Bs, one HR, and six RBI at a .210 clip (17-for-81) with a .244 OBP and .284 SLG...Behind the plate, turned in a .982 fielding percentage (4 E/226 TC) across 220.0 innings…also made one appearance at third base on Sept. 10 @ HOU (1.0 INN)...May 3 vs. CIN, connected with his first career home run amidst his first multi-hit effort...became the first Padres’ rookie with a four RBI game since Jake Cronenworth on Aug. 22, 2020 vs. HOU...He also became the first San Diego rookie catcher with four-or-more RBI in a game since Francisco Mejia on Sept. 16, 2018 vs. TEX (walk-off grand slam)...Recalled Sept. 1 and made 10 starts at catcher, slashing .265/.324/.265 with one RBI across 12 games...Capped his rookie campaign hitting safely in six of his 12 games, while reaching base in seven of those contests...Collected three multi-hit efforts across his last eight games...had just one multi-hit game in his previous 20 games.

Acquired by SD from MIL along with Korry Howell on April 6, 2022 in exchange for C Victor Caratini and cash considerations....Spent all of 2022 with El Paso (AAA) and was one of four Chihuahuas to play in 100+ games (113) with 400+ at-bats (421)…he posted career highs in runs scored (73), RBI (tied, 81) and walks (38)....His 13 sacrifice flies were the second-most in all of minor league baseball, trailing only Blaine Crim’s 14....Made 64 appearances at catcher, 15 at third base and 13 in left field....Collected one of the Chihuahuas’ 10 walk-off hits on April 30 vs. Reno on an RBI-single with two on and two outs in the ninth inning....Hit safely in 14 of his first 17 games from April 7-May 5 at a .333 clip (19-for-57) with 5 XBH (2 2B, 3 HR)…hit .196 (10-for.51) in May before hitting .349 (29-for-83) in June, .265 (22-for-83) in July, .278 (22-for-79) in August and .274 (20-for-73) in September....Hit .319 (66-for-207) with 23 XBH in 55 games at home vs. a .252 clip (54-for-214) with 20 XBH in 58 away games....The left-handed hitter batted .303 (97-for-320) with seven HR vs. righties and .228 (23-for-101) with two HR vs. lefties....He hit .294 (42-for-143) with RISP, including 8-for-19 (.421) with the bases loaded....Spent the majority of the season batting in the 5th slot (45 G, .291 AVG) of the Chihuahuas’ batting order, and also batted seventh 20 times (.250 AVG), sixth 19 times (.254), fourth 12 times (.273), third nine times (.300), ninth three times (.667) 2nd twice (.444), 8th twice (.333) and lead off once (.1000)....When he got ahead in counts, he was a .307 hitter (43-for.140) with seven of his nine HR…when he fell behind, he hit .183 (24-for-131).

2020

Was a non-roster invite to Rays spring training and still in major league camp at the time of the COVID-19 shutdown…played five games for the Sugar Land Lightning Sloths in independent ball before being added to the Rays 60-man player pool on July 28…played for the Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Winter League.

2019

Spent a second consecutive season with Double-A Montgomery and ranked among Southern League leaders in avg. (.280, 10th), doubles (25, tied for 6th), extra-base hits (40, 10th) and slugging pct. (.459, 8th)…tied for 8th among Rays minor leaguers in both doubles and extra-base hits…made 56 starts in left field, 14 starts at catcher and two pitching apps…hit for the cycle in a 5-1 win on June 5 vs. Tennessee (Cubs)…was the second cycle in Biscuits history, joining Elliot Johnson in Game 4 of the 2006 SL Championship Series, and first in the regular season…named to the Rays Organizational All-Star Team by MLB.com.

2018

Tied for 7th in the SL with 65 RBI, which ranked 9th among Rays minor leaguers…named to the SL midseason All-Star Team…named SL Player of the Week for Aug 27-Sep 3, batting .481 (13-for27) with 4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR and 9 RBI.

2017

Split the season between Class-A Charlotte and Double-A Montgomery, batting .294/.324/.433 (123-for-418) with 8 HR and 74 RBI…his Aug 2 transfer was the first in-season promotion of his career…tied for 2nd in the Florida State League with 67 RBI, earning FSL midseason and postseason All-Star honors…his 74 RBI between the two levels ranked 2nd among Rays minor leaguers behind Jesús Sánchez (82)…hit .313 (15-for-48) in 14 games with the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League…ranked by Baseball America as having the Best Strike-Zone Discipline in the FSL in its Best Tools survey.

2016

Spent the entire season with Class-A Bowling Green…led Rays minor leaguers with 81 RBI…tied for 2nd in the Midwest League in runs batted in and tied for 3rd in runs…named to the MWL midseason All-Star Team…made 65 starts at catcher, his first career action there.

2015

Spent his first professional season with Rookie-level Princeton…appeared in 65 games, all starts (64-3B, 1-1B)…led the Appalachian League with 34 XBH, tied for 2nd with 128 total bases and tied for 3rd with 11 HR, 20 2B and 47 runs…hit 11 HR, all coming in his final 46 games, including the first multi-HR game of his career on Aug 28 at Johnson City (Cardinals).
