Spent the first half of the season with Triple-A El Paso in the San Diego organization before being claimed off waivers by the A¡¯s on June 21¡pitched in five games at Triple-A Las Vegas and was a combined 2-2 with a save and a 5.46 in 30 Minor League relief appearances when he was recalled by Oakland on July 7¡went 1-1 with a 4.20 ERA and .453 opponents OPS in 14 relief appearances in his Major League debut...Held the opposition to a .120 batting average with the A¡¯s but walked 13 batters in 15.0 innings for a .313 on-base percentage¡did not surrender a home run and had a .140 opponents slugging percentage...Struck out 19 for an average of 11.40 strikeouts per nine innings...Left-handed hitters went 1-for-21 (.048) with four walks and a .248 OPS against him¡had a .172 (5-for-29) batting average, his lone extra base hit (a double) and a .592 OPS against right-handers...Opponents were 1-for-11 (.091) with runners in scoring position...Had a .094 opponents batting average with two strikes...Stranded his only inherited runner and first batters faced were 1-for-12 (.083) with two walks (.214 on-base percentage)...Had a 2.57 ERA in six games in Oakland, a 5.63 ERA in eight games on the road...Combined for a .239 opponents batting average and .705 OPS in his 30 Triple-A appearances...Struck out 46 batters in 29.2 innings (13.96 per nine innings), but walked 19 (5.76 per nine innings)...His opponents batting average broke down to .214 (15-for-70) with a .635 opponents OPS against right-handed hitters compared to .277 (13-for-47) with an .808 OPS against lefthanders...Allowed a .179 batting average with the bases empty, .295 with runner on...Opponents were 7-for-12 (.583) when putting the first pitch in play¡were 0-for-12 on an 0-2 count...Allowed 4-of-5 (80.0%) inherited runners to score¡first batters were 6-for-25 (.240) with four walks and a hit by pitch (.367 on-base percentage)...Tossed exactly one inning in 25 of his 30 appearances.

Split the campaign between San Antonio (AA) and El Paso (AAA) and posted career highs in several categories, including wins (5), saves (14), appearances (51), strikeouts (84), SO/9 IP (12.2) and games finished (29)...His 62.0 IP were 0.2 IP shy of his career-high 62.2 IP from 2021 at the Single-A levels of the Tampa Bay Rays¡¯ system...His 3.63 ERA was the 2nd-best mark of his career, trailing only his 2.59 ERA from 2021, but in nearly half as many appearances (36) in 2021 compared to 2022 (51)...Allowed just 1 unearned run across his first 8 appearances and 9.1 IP from April 9-May 3...Recorded saves in back-to-back outings 5 times in 2022...Tossed 1.1 IP-or-more in 20 of his 51 outings, including 9 appearances of 2.0 IP...His 1 and only HR allowed came on June 9 at Corpus Christi, resulting in not allowing a long ball in his final 34 appearances and 41.1 IP from June 12-Sept. 27...Had his contract selected on Aug. 30, 2022 and was added to the Padres¡¯ 40-man roster.
2021
Split the season between Single-A Charleston and Bowling Green...went a combined 3-0 and converted eight of his 10 save opportunities, along with a 2.59 ERA (18 ER, 62.2 IP) and a .221 opp. AVG across 36 relief appearances... Began the season with CSC and converted seven of his eight save opportunities with a 1.42 ERA (6 ER, 28.0 IP)... Allowed just one earned run through his first 10 appearances (0.47 ERA) with 28 strikeouts against 5 BB from May 5-June 16... Gave up just 1 HR with CSC, which came in his 6th appearance of the season (May 28 vs. Fayetteville)...still recorded his first save of the season, the 3rd of his career and his first since 2017 with the Gulf Coast League Rays... Promoted to BG on Aug. 1, where he competed for the remainder of the season... Allowed an earned run in back-to-back outings just 3 times, including his 2nd and 3rd outings with BG...issued career highs in earned runs (5) and walks (5) in his 3rd outing on Aug. 8 at Wilmington... Worked 2.0 innings-or-more in 6 consecutive outings to finish off August from Aug. 12-29, allowing just 2 ER (1.49 ERA)... On the season, worked 2.0 IP-or-more in 19 of his 36 appearances, and allowed one or fewer earned runs in 30 of his 36 app.
2020
Did not pitch due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was not a part of the Rays' 60-man player pool at their alternate training site.
2019
Spent the entire campaign with the Advanced Rookie-Level Princeton Rays, going 3-4 with a 4.45 ERA (15 ER, 30.1 IP) across 15 relief appearances...Worked 3.0-hitless innings and earned the win in his season debut on June 20 at Danville...Allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and a walk across a career-high-tying 4.0 innings on July 5 vs. Danville (also pitched 4.0 innings on June 11, 2016 with the DSL Rays (R)...Did not allow an earned run from Aug. 1-16, surrendering just 5 hits across the 9.0 IP...Posted a 5.63 ERA in his 3 June appearances, a 5.79 ERA across his 5 July 5 appearances, and a 2.77 ERA in his 7 Aug. appearances.
