Was recalled from the Alternate Training Site prior to Game 2 of the doubleheader on 9/12 vs. OAK and made his Major League debut that night with a start at third base¡singled off Yusmeiro Petit in the 7th inning for his 1st career MLB hit¡ started at first base on 9/17 at HOU at 21 years, 190 days of age, the youngest Ranger to ever start at the position (previous youngest: Adrian Gonzalez - 21.346 on 4/18/04 at SEA)¡had 7 games/6 starts at 1B (4 GS) and 3B (2 GS)¡recorded hits in each of his 1st 2 ML games at 2-for-7 before going 0-for-13 to finish the year...was placed on the 10-day IL on 9/27 (final day of reg. season), retroactive to 9/25, with lower back tightness¡ exited game on 9/24 vs. HOU in the 2nd inn. after sustaining the back injury at 3B while making a diving attempt at a Carlos Correa single¡was the 1st player in club history to wear no. 82 in a regular season contest.

Named to the Dominican Summer League mid-season All-Star team, as well as Baseball America¡¯s DSL Classification All-Star team...paced qualified Pirates minor leaguers and tied for the DSL lead with a 21.6% (56 BB/259 PA) walk percentage¡ranked 2nd in the circuit in HR (9), RBI (48) and walks, and finished 5th in OPS (.917).
