Signed by D-backs as a non-drafted free agent (Nov. 24, 2015) \[signed by: Jose Ortiz/Junior Noboa\]...Fulfilled a lifelong dream by playing his first season in the Dominican Winter League with his favorite team, Licey, and helped lead them to a league title while going 0-0 with a 2.38 ERA (three ER in 11.1 IP) with 17 strikeouts in 13 games…participated in the championship parade through the streets of Santo Domingo with his teammates that culminated with a stadium rally...Played his second season with Licey and helped them repeat as champs inthe 2023-24 season…went 1-0, allowing one hit in three regular season games. Originally signed by Arizona as an infielder in 2015 but does not have a professional plate appearance...Credits now D-backs assistant pitching coach Barry Enright for changing his breaking ball grip to a spike-curveball in 2019 Spring Training.

Went 1-0 with a 4.06 ERA (14 ER in 31.0 IP) over 29 games in his third season with Arizona...Set career highs in games, innings and strikeouts (26)...Recorded the second win of his D-backs' career on Sept. 17 vs. Cubs (first: Aug. 29, 2022 vs. Phillies)...Boasted a career and team-high 12-game scoreless home streak from July 25 to Sept. 30…went 1-0 over 12.2 innings with eight strikeouts and a 1.11 WHIP in that span...Was scoreless in 10 of his final 12 road games and owned a 3.09 ERA (four ER in 11.2 IP) with nine strikeouts...In September, went 1-0 with a 0.77 ERA (one ER in 11.2 IP) and 0.94 WHIP over 12 games...Stranded 16 of his 20 inherited runners over 29 games with 26 strikeouts. Appeared in three games with the D-backs in his first Major League season and posted a 2.70 ERA (1 ER in 3.1 IP)... Made his Major League debut Sept. 19 @ Astros (0.2 IP)... Combined to go 9-7 with a 4.93 ERA (61 ER in 111.1 IP) and 126 strikeouts in 23 starts between High-A Hillsboro, Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno... Earned 2 Pitcher of the Week awards: High-A West (May 10-16) and Double-A Central (July 26-Aug. 1)... Tossed a 7.0-inning no-hitter on Aug. 1 vs. San Antonio (with Amarillo).

Was 6-4 with a 2.83 ERA and 101 strikeouts (11.9 SO per 9.0 IP) in 16 starts with Short-Season A Hillsboro (10 GS) and SingleA Kane County (6 GS)...Named to Baseball America's ShortSeason All-Star Team and earned Northwest League midseason AllStar honors after posting a 1.99 ERA with the Hops.
