2019

Went 0-4 record with a 5.77 ERA (34.1/22) over seven starts for Miami in 2019, his first experience in the Majors...He had his contract selected on August 5 and was designated as the 26th man for a doubleheader at the Mets, making his Major League debut with the start in game one. He allowed six runs on five hits, with three strikeouts, over 5.0 innings in a 6-2 defeat against Jacob deGrom...He was sent back to NOLA following the start, but made just two starts for the Baby Cakes before being recalled to Miami for the remainder of the season on August 28. In those two starts for NOLA, he allowed four runs over 13.0 innings, with 17 strikeouts...Had a career-best outing in his second start, on August 29 vs. Cincinnati, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and a walk, with a career-high seven strikeouts over 7.0 innings, in the 4-3 defeat...From August 29 to September 14, he allowed two-or-fewer earned runs in all four of his outings. He held a 3.29 ERA (27.1/10) with 19 strikeouts against 11 walks, limiting opponents to a .216 batting average. Over that stretch, his average against ranked sixth among rookies (min. 4 GS), while his ERA ranked seventh...In his final start, on September 25 at the Mets, he allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits and two walks, over 2.0 innings, in a 10-3 defeat.

2018

In third professional season, first in Marlins system, went 10-7, 3.40 (150.2 ip/57 er) in 25 starts between Single-A Jupiter and Double-A Jacksonville. Set career highs in starts, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts (141)...Allowed one-or-zero runs in three straight starts (2-0) from April 24-May 5. Allowed one earned run over 18.0 innings (0.50 ERA). Had 15 strikeouts and allowed just four walks during that stretch... Named a Florida State League Midseason All-Star after going 3-1, 2.40 (41.1/11) in seven starts for Jupiter...Promoted to Jacksonville on May 18 and finished season by going 7-6, 3.79 (109.1/46) in 18 starts for Jumbo Shrimp...Had season-high 10 strikeouts on August 21 vs. Birmingham...Had four starts in which he tossed 7.0 innings and surrendered no runs: July 30 at Mobile, August 16 at Pensacola, August 21 vs. Birmingham, and September 21 vs. Mississippi...For Jacksonville, went 5-3, 2.97 (75.2/25) in 12 night starts compared to 2-3, 5.61 (33.2/21) in six day starts...Went 5-1, 1.28 (49.1/7) with 52 strikeouts over his final seven starts, beginning July 30. Threw three complete games during that stretch, including a season-high 8.0 innings on August 26 at Chattanooga.
