Justin Connor Foscue…Married the former McKenzie Williams in Oct. 2022...Has a brother, Brian, and sister, Virginia…Remains close with college teammate and roommate Jordan Westburg, who made his Major League debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2023 after being selected by the O’s in the first round (30th overall) of the 2020 MLB Draft…Foscue and Westburg were just the second pair of Mississippi State teammates ever to be selected in the first round of the MLB Draft in the same year, joining Will Clark (second, SF) and Rafael Palmeiro (22nd, CHC) in 1985.

2024

Made his Major League debut over 15 games/12 starts (11-DH, 1-1B) with the Rangers, going 2-for-42 (.048) with two singles across three stints with the club…was recalled on 4/2 from Round Rock (AAA) and went 0-for-1 in his MLB debut on 4/5 vs. HOU…tallied first career hit and RBI on run-scoring pinch-hit single off Josh Hader in ninth inning of Texas’ 1-3 loss on 4/7 vs. HOU, but suffered a left oblique strain during the at-bat…placed on the 10-day Injured List on 4/8 and transferred to 60-day IL on 4/13…activated and optioned to Round Rock on 6/26 after completing rehab assignment with ACL Rangers (6/5-19) and Express (6/20-25)…recalled by Rangers on 7/20, going 1-for-17 (.059) with one double in five G/GS before being optioned again on 7/29…once again recalled on 8/31, failing to record a hit in 23 at-bats in his third and final stint with Texas…ended the campaign 0-for-his-last 39 with 2 BB/18 SO at the Major League level, the longest hitless span by a Ranger since at least the start of the 1974 campaign (per Stats Perform) and the longest hitless stretch to end a season by a non-pitcher in MLB since BOS’ Tim Naehring in 1991 (0-for-39)…slashed .276/.420/.477/.897 in 48 games with Round Rock, logging more walks (43) than strikeouts (39) for the second-straight year at the AAA level…ranked among Pacific Coast League leaders (min. 200 PA) in walk pct. Returned to Double-A Frisco this season, batting .288/.367/.483/.850 (115-400) with 15 home runs and 81 RBI over a career-high 101 games...ranked among Texas League leaders in doubles (T3rd, 31), RBI (6th), and OPS (10th), while his 14.3 strikeout pct. was seventh-lowest among league qualifiers...hit .340/.411/.610/1.021 (34-100) with five HR vs. LHP and .270/.353/.440/.793 (81-300) with 10 HR vs. RHP...majority of his starts came at second base (76), but also saw action at designated hitter (13) and third base (12)...endured pair of IL stints: 4/8-18 (back stiffness) and 5/31-6/7 (oblique tightness).

2021

Made his professional debut across three levels of the Texas farm system, producing a .275/.371/.590/.960 (63-229) slash line with 17 HR and 51 RBI while being limited to 62 games with Frisco, Hickory, and the ACL Rangers…dealt with rib contusion and oblique strain injuries…his .960 OPS ranked 3rd among Texas farmhands (min. 200 PA) behind Josh Jung (.990) and Yohel Pozo (.974)…named a Texas Organization All-Star by MLB Pipeline…outside of a 3-G rehab stint with the ACL Rangers (7/6-9), Foscue spent the majority of the season with Hickory until a promotion to Frisco on 8/11…homered in 8 straight games (9 total HR) from 7/9-23, including the final game of his rehab stint and 7 G with Hickory…posted his 1st career multi-HR game and career-high 7 RBI on 7/16 vs. Aberdeen…entered season rated by MLB Pipeline as the Rangers’ no. 4 prospect and no. 83 overall prospect in baseball…tabbed by Baseball America as the Rangers’ 6th-best prospect and as having the “Best Strike-Zone Discipline” in the Texas organization…played for Surprise of the Arizona Fall League after the season, slashing .257/.416/.529/.944 (18-70) with 5 HR, 14 RBI, 15 BB in 19 G.

2020

Did not see official game action following his selection in the June draft, as the minor league season was canceled due to the pandemic…was added to the Rangers’ 60-man player pool on 8/20 and spent the remainder of the Major League regular season at the club’s Alternate Training Site…had three hits, including a pair of doubles, over short stint in Fall Developmental League…was one of two Texas prospects in camp to post more walks (6) than strikeouts (4), joining Cody Freeman (11 BB/4 SO) in accomplishing the feat.
