Made his Major League debut on 8/21/23 at Pittsburgh with St. Louis after being acquired from Baltimore on 8/1/23 with INF César Prieto and RHP Zack Showalter in exchange for RHP Jack Flaherty...Was T-third in the International League with nine wins and fourth with 118 strikeouts in 21 outings (20 starts) combined between Norfolk and Memphis...Posted three scoreless starts of at least 5.0 innings through his first six starts of the season with Norfolk, going 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA (31.1 IP/10 ER) with 32 strikeouts in that span...Won both of his starts with Memphis, allowing a combined one earned run and two hits across 11.0 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts and four walks...Struck out a career-high 10 batters in his first start with Memphis on 8/9 at Durham, holding the Bulls to two runs (one earned) on one hit, two walks and a hit batter in 5.0 innings...Recorded seven strikeouts in 5.1 shutout innings with two hits and three walks allowed on 9/13 at Baltimore to earn his first MLB victory in his first appearance against his former organization...Finished the season ranked as the No. 15 prospect in the St. Louis system, according to Baseball America.

Began the season with Double-A Bowie; placed on the 7-day Injured List on 5/7; reinstated from the IL on 5/25; promoted to Triple-A Norfolk on 8/16...Combined to go 8-3 with a 4.43 ERA (59 ER/120.0 IP) with 130 hits, 64 total runs, 10 home runs, 47 walks, seven hit batters and 144 strikeouts in 26 games (25 GS) between both levels...Led O's Minor Leaguers in starts, innings pitched and strikeouts...Threw his second career shutout on 9/8 at Memphis; allowed three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over a career-high seven innings...Tied a career-high and set a Triple-A high with nine strikeouts on 8/21 vs. Durham...Added to the 40-man roster on 11/15.
