Made his Major League debut on Sept. 27, 2023 at Detroit, becoming the 58th different player to appear in a game for the 2023 Royals, matching the club record set in 2004...In his Major League debut, Bowlan became the ninth player selected by Kansas City in 2018 to debut with the Royals, following Brady Singer (first round), Jackson Kowar (first), Daniel Lynch IV (first), Kris Bubic (first), Kyle Isbel (third), Austin Cox (fifth), Jonathan Heasley (13th) and Nate Eaton (21st).... Prior to being recalled on Sept. 19, he made 24 appearances (21 starts) and recorded 102.0 innings between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha¡his totals in appearances, starts and innings were all his most since 2019.

Made his return from Tommy John Surgery on June 17, 2022, 12 months after his surgery¡he made seven starts in the Arizona Complex League and one start at High-A Quad Cities before joining Double-A Northwest Arkansas for his final nine starts... Named Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the period of Aug. 22-28, after earning a 7-2 win vs. Springfield in which he allowed just two hits and two walks over 5.0 scoreless innings.
2021
Made four starts with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, but exited his fourth start on May 23 after two batters and did not pitch the rest of the season...Underwent Tommy John Surgery during the first week of June...In his four starts, he went 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA (3 ER in 17.0 IP) and 25 strikeouts (13.2 K/9) and just three walks (1.6 BB/9).
