Enters the season rated as the seventh-best prospect in the Pirates system by Baseball America...Hit a combined .278 (128-for-461) with 23 doubles, 10 triples, 13 home runs, 56 RBI, .352 OBP, .456 slugging percentage and .808 OPS in 123 games between High-A Greensboro and Double-A Altoona…Entered the season rated Pittsburgh’s No. 25 prospect according to MLB Pipeline…Played for Chinese-Taipei in the World Baseball Classic…Led all Pirates minor leaguers in triples, which were also tied for the third-most in Minor League Baseball…Finished third among all Pirates minor leaguers in total bases (210) and second in hits…Ranked third in the South Atlantic League in batting, second in slugging, fourth in OBP, first in OPS and triples, tied for second in extra base hits (30) and fourth in hits at the time he was promoted to Altoona on 6/23…Stole a franchise record four bases on 7/5 vs. Erie, setting a new career-high…Recorded the first multi-home run game of his career on 9/3 at Erie…Was named to the South Atlantic League post-season All-Star team.

Spent the entire season with Low-A Bradenton, where he led the Florida State League in triples and runs scored, finished second in OBP and stolen bases, third in doubles, fourth in batting, tied for fourth in hits, fifth in OPS, tied for seventh in RBI and seventh in slugging...Was named the Pirates organization’s Baserunner of the Year…Was named the Florida State League’s Player of the Month for August…Took home Florida State League Player of the Week honors for the week of 8/8-14…Was named to the Florida State League’s post-season All-Star Team.

Spent the entire season with the Florida Complex League Pirates, where he finished first in OBP, tied for fourth in RBI, third in walks, tied for fifth in runs scored and fifth in stolen bases.
