Beck Way resides in Huntington Beach, Calif., and is an avid golfer....Graduated from Cumberland Valley HS (Penn.) in 2016....Attended Belmont Abbey College (N.C.) from 2017-18, where he made 18 appearances and earned two saves with a 3.98 ERA (9 ER in 20.1 IP) in 2018....Sat out the 2019 season, but did appear in 11 games (one start) for Cotuit in the Cape Cod League, going 2-2 with a 3.29 ERA (5 ER in 13.2 IP).

2023

Spent the 2023 season in Double-A Northwest Arkansas, but struggled to a 2-9 record with a 6.67 ERA (59 ER in 79.2 IP) and 80 strikeouts... As a starter, he went 0-9 with a 9.23 ERA (53 ER in 51.2 IP), more walks (51) than strikeouts (48) and a .306 opponents’ average (63-for-206)...as a reliever, he went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA (6 ER in 28.0 IP), 32 strikeouts and just 12 walks, while opponents hit .153 (15-for-98)... He began the year in the starting rotation but was 0-5 through 12 starts with a 9.57 ERA (39 ER in 36.2 IP)... Made a relief appearance on June 23 and covered 3.2 innings, allowing just 1 run...made another start on June 30 at Wichita, but didn’t escape the first inning as he allowed four runs (3 ER) on five hits while recording just 2 outs... Pitched solely in relief from July 4-Aug. 23, and dominated to the tune of a 1.85 ERA (5 ER in 24.1 IP) and 27 strikeouts, with a .153 opponents’ batting average (13-for-85)... Returned to the rotation on Aug. 29 and over his final four appearances (all starts), he went 0-3 with a 6.91 ERA (11 ER in 14.1 IP) and a 13-15 BB-K ratio... Pitched in six games for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League, striking out seven batters over 6.0 innings.
