Adrián Sabin González graduated from Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, CA in 2000...His father, David, played amateur baseball in Mexico and was a first baseman on the Mexican National Team...His older brother, Edgar, made his major league debut with the Padres on May 12, 2008...On May 13, 2008 at Chicago-NL, the duo started in the same infield with Adrián playing first base and Edgar playing third base...Played for Team Mexico in the World Baseball Classic in 2006, 2009, 2013 and 2017...Was honored by Mexico with its national sports award, the 2014 Premio Nacional del Deporte...Helped renovate a Little League baseball field in Tijuana in 2012, which was renamed in his honor...González continues to financially support two baseball fields in Tijuana for youth, Campo Adrián González en la Liga Municipal de Tijuana...In December 2014 he made a significant commitment in support of youth baseball in Mexico, creating Liga de Béisbol Telmex Adrián González.
