Andrew David Burns...graduated from Rocky Mountain (CO) High School...selected by Colorado in the 25th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign...began his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky and played two seasons for the Wildcats before transferring to the University of Arizona...drafted by Toronto in the 11th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft after sitting out his junior season due to transferring to Arizona.

2021

Split his season between AZL Dodgers, Triple-A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers…had two stints in the Majors... With AZL Dodgers, the righty played in four games and went 3-for-9 with a home run and two RBI…also registered a stolen base... With Triple-A Oklahoma City, appeared in 54 games and slashed .232/.361/.412 with 12 doubles, one triple, and six home runs… knocked in 24 runs and stole ten bases... At the Major League level, he averaged .273 (3-for-11) across nine games, scoring two runs, hitting a double, and walking three times... Was named to his first big league Postseason roster, playing in games 5 and 6 of the NLCS Garnered an 11-game hit streak from May 29 to June 12, going 18-for-36 with 11 RBI…notched a season-high four hits on June 1 at El Paso, going 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI…hit well on the road with Triple-A OKC, slashing .250/.362/.448 with four home runs and 14 RBI…had his best month in June, hitting .325 (13-for-40) with 11 runs and 10 RBI…bat in every slot of the lineup, being the most productive in the eighth spot averaging .462 (6-for-13) with seven RBI…hit relievers well in the minor leagues, slashing .283/.417/.543 with a .960 OPS…stole two bases twice (May 22 at Albuquerque and June 11 vs. El Paso). 

2020

Spent the season at Toronto’s alternate training site...Elected free agency on Nov. 2 and signed a Minor League free-agent contract with the Dodgers on December 16, 2020.

2019

Batted .275 with 17 doubles, three triples, 19 home runs and 63 RBI across 118 games for Triple-A Buffalo...Led the Bisons in games played (118), hits (113), walks (57) and OBP (.364)...Hit .322 with 23 extra-base hits in 63 home games, and was named the Buffalo's Jimmy Griffin Hometown Hero for his home offensive numbers...His 355 games played over three seasons with the Bisons has him ranked 5th in the team's modern era (1985-present)...After the season, played for Sydney in the Australian Baseball League...Batted .311 (38-for-122) in 35 games there, with seven doubles, four home runs and 23 RBI (.870 OPS).

2018

Slashed .268/.329/.513 with 34 doubles, five triples, 23 home runs and 64 RBI across 133 games in his second season with the Lotte Giants of the Korean Baseball Organization...Ranked among the top in the KBO in doubles (T-7th), triples (T-4th), home runs (T-12th) and strikeouts (6th, 133)...Played the entirety of the season at second base, turning in a .966 fielding percentage (22 E/642 TC) across 1073.0 innings (132 G) up the middle.

2017

Signed with the Lotte Giants of the KBO on Jan. 8...Slashed .303/.361/.499 and connected for 38 doubles, 15 home runs and 57 RBI with 10 stolen bases across 116 games...Ranked tied for fourth in league with his team-leading 38 doubles...also sat among the top Giant bats in runs (4th, 71), hits (5th, 128), home runs (5th), RBI (6th), stolen bases (3rd), strikeouts (2nd, 100), average (4th), slugging (4th), OPS (4th, .859) and total bases (5th, 211).
