2006

Perez was the A's backup infielder the entire season and never got on track offensively, hitting .102 in 57 games. His batting average was the lowest in Oakland history based on a minimum of 100 plate appearances. It was the third lowest batting average by a non-pitcher since 1900 with 100 minimum plate appearances. Seven of his 10 hits were for extra-bases and he had eight RBIs on the season. He started 24 games, including 20 at third base, three at shortstop and one at second base. His only homer was a two-run shot off Randy Johnson at Yankee Stadium.

2005

Was acquired on April 3 in exchange for outfielder Jason Romano...recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sept. 7, where he batted .296 with 22 homers, 88 RBI and 22 stolen bases in 125 games...became the first 20/20 player in Las Vegas' franchise history and the first Dodger farmhand to steal 20 bases and hit 20 homers in a season since Chin-Feng Chen hit 31 homers and stole 31 bases for Single-A San Bernardino in 1999...played second base and shortstop for Las Vegas...the stint with the Dodgers was his second trip to the Major Leagues, as he appeared in 43 games with Tampa Bay in 2003...went 3-for-13 with five runs scored for the Dodgers including a double...made his Dodger debut on Sept. 7 vs. Arizona and singled to center... was hit by pitch and scored a run on Sept. 11 vs. St. Louis...doubled and scored two runs on Sept. 13 vs. San Diego...batted .255 (12-for-47) for the Gigantes during the Dominican Winter League.

2003

Spent the season with Double-A San Antonio where he batted .258 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs and 24 RBI in 72 games...appeared in 64 games at second base and 10 at shortstop...was on the disabled list from May 3 to July 4 with a bruised right wrist...played in six rehabilitation games for the Rookie Mariners of the Arizona Rookie League...had his best stretch when he returned from the DL, batting .322 in July (29 for 90) with 11 RBI and eight stolen bases for San Antonio, hitting safely in 19 of 25 games...named the Rays' eighth-best prospect by Baseball Americaand the fifth-best position player.

2001

Played in just five games (June 1 through 5) with Double-A San Antonio, battling a fractured right wrist...was on the disabled list from April 5 to May 31 and June 6 through the season's end.

2000

Played with Single-A Lancaster and led the California League with a .527 slugging percentage...was third in the league with 36 doubles and 59 extra base hits...was on the disabled list from May 2 to June 5 with a right hand fracture...hit two home runs on June 8 vs. Rancho Cucamonga...hit .309 (29 for 94) in June...drove in 17 runs in a nine game stretch from June 24 to July 4...in 16 plate appearances from August 26-28, he went 9 for 13 with six doubles, two homers and three walks...had a .939 fielding percentage in 96 games at shortstop...named the California League's top prospect at the conclusion of the season by Baseball America.

Was signed as a non-drafted free agent by Cincinnati on March 21, 1998...spent the season in the Dominican Summer League...batted .255 with two homers and 24 RBI in 63 games...stole 58 bases and recorded a .408 on-base percentage.
