His father, Brent Sr., played for three seasons in the Pirates minor league system from 1988-90... His father pitched for Saint Leo University under coach Mike Marshall (who was also Brent Sr.¡¯s cousin) who won the NL Cy Young Award as a reliever with the Dodgers in 1974...
