DOMINIC MANUEL NU?EZ...Graduated from Elk Grove High School (CA)…Was committed to play for UCLA before signing with Colorado after being selected in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB Draft...Was a member of 2012 USA Baseball 18-and-under National Team which won the 2012 IBAF Junior AAA/18U World Championship in Seoul, South Korea.

2023

Split the 2023 season in Chicago-NL’s and Pittsburgh’s organizations...Was released by the Cubs on Aug. 6 and signed with Pittsburgh two days later, spending the rest of the season at Triple-A Indianapolis...Finished the season with a combined .187 (36-for-193) batting average, five home runs and 22 RBIs...Had two three-week stints on the IL in May (right hamstring) and July (right wrist fracture).

2022

Dom split the 2022 campaign between Triple-A Albuquerque and the Rockies... Opened the season with Colorado and had two stints with the big league club (Opening Day-May 16 and Aug. 12-21)... Appeared in 14 games for the Rockies, hitting .121 (4-for-33) with a double and two RBI... Batted .223 (55-for-247) with 13 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 29 RBI in 62 games with Albuquerque... Claimed off waivers by San Francisco Nov. 9...was designated for assignment Nov. 15 and declared a free agent Nov. 18.

2021

Spent the entire 2021 season the Rockies’ active roster, slashing .189/.293/.399 in 81 games... Appeared in 77 games at catcher, including 74 starts, the third-most starts by a rookie catcher in franchise history (most: Wilin Rosario, 100 games started, 2012) … his 74 starts at catcher were the second-most by a rookie in the Majors in 2021, trailing only Ryan Jeffers of Minnesota... His 10 home runs were the second-most by a rookie catcher in franchise history, trailing Wilin Rosario’s 28 home runs in 2012... Led all NL catchers with a 12.9 percent walk rate, the third-highest among all Major League rookies (min. 250 PA)... Ranked eighth in the Majors and second in the NL with a 34.6 percent strikeout rate (min. 250 PA)... 25 of his 43 hits went for extra bases (12 doubles, 10 home runs, three triples) and 30 of his 50 career hits are extra-base hits... Slashed .155/.244/.331 from the beginning of the season through June 26 … from that point on, batted .244/.369/.512 through the end of the season... Tallied six-straight games with a walk from June 30-July 21, the longest streak by a Rockie since Jonathan Lucroy in 2017 (six-straight)... 2020

Named to Colorado’s 2020 player pool and spent the 60-game shortened season at the alternate training site in Denver... Batted .200 (3-for-15) with two runs, one home run, four RBI, four walks and six strikeouts across 12 Spring Training games.

2019

Played 16 games (10 starts) for Colorado in his debut season, following his Aug. 13 debut vs. Arizona ... First hit and home run on Aug. 13 vs. Arizona in his Major League debut … became the seventh player in franchise history to hit a home run in his debut (last: Trevor Story, April 4, 2016 at Arizona) … the eighth player in franchise history to record a home run as their first Major League hit ... Recorded his first career multi-hit game on Aug. 21 at Arizona ... Hit .244 (52-for-213) with a career-high 17 homers in 61 games at Albuquerque.

2018

Spent his second season with Hartford as the club's starting catcher ... Started 70 games and batted .222 (72-for-324) with 12 doubles, nine home runs and 42 RBI ... Recorded a 38% caught stealing percentage, throwing out 19 of 50 base stealers.

2017

Spent the entire season with Double-A Hartford, his first stint at that level ... Attended his second Major League Spring Training ... Drew a career-high-tying 53 walks ... Played for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League and batted .091 (4-for-44) with two doubles, one RBI, one walk and 12 strikeouts.

2016

Attended his first Major League Spring Training prior to spending the entire season with High-A Modesto ... Played a career-high 105 games for the Nuts ... Hit .263 with (25-for-95) in 25 August games … had two doubles, a triple, six home runs and 22 RBI … had nine of his 10 home runs and 33 RBI in the second half of the season.

2015

Hit .282 (105-for-373) and set career highs in runs (61), doubles (23), home runs (13) and RBI (53) as Low-A Asheville's primary catcher ... Led the club with 13 home runs, tied for the lead with 53 walks and was third with 53 RBI ... Hit .216 (36-for-167) with no home runs and 13 RBI in the first half, .335 (69-for-206) with 13 home runs and 40 RBI in the second half.

2014

Used solely as a catcher in his second season with Rookie Level Grand Junction ... Started 37 games behind the plate, his first experience as a catcher … threw out 20 of 55 (36.4%) attempted base stealers ... Drew 21 walks compared to 28 strikeouts in 198 plate appearances.

2013

Saw time at second base, shortstop and third base for Grand Junction in his first season ... Tied for the team lead with 11 stolen bases ... Finished the season by going a combined 6-for-9 with three doubles and three RBI in his last two games.
