In his first year as a reliever, went 8-1 with a 4.35 ERA (51.2IP, 42H, 27R/25ER, 14BB, 54K, 11HR) in 32 appearances between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre… limited opponents to a .219 BA (42-for192)… began the season with Trenton before being transferred to Scranton/WB on 6/28… was placed on the Scranton/WB injured list on 8/8 (retro to 8/7) and released on 8/23… was re-signed on 8/26 and immediately placed on the Scranton/WB injured list, missing the remainder of the season.

Did not appear in a game for the Yankees in his only stint with the club (7/21)...Combined with Double-A Trenton and short-season Single-A Staten Island to go 3-3 with a 2.99 ERA (69.1IP, 23ER) in 16 games (12 starts)…missed approximately two-and-a-half months on the minor league disabled list...Started the season with Trenton and went 3-3 with a 2.92 ERA (64.2IP, 21ER) in 14 games (10 starts)…allowed 2ER or fewer in eight of his 10 starts...Made his final two starts of the season with Staten Island, posting a 3.86 ERA (4.2IP, 2ER)

Began the season with Single-A Charleston, making one start for the RiverDogs (1.2IP, 1ER)... Spent the majority of the season with short-season Single-A Staten Island, going 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA (48.0IP, 9ER) in 11 starts, allowed 1ER-or-fewer in nine of his 11 starts with the club, doing so in each of his final seven starts of the season (0.77 ERA, 35.0IP, 3ER in those games)…was named the NYPL "Pitcher of the Week" for 8/17-23... Made seven relief appearances with the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League, going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA (12.0IP, 9H, 3R/3ER, 3BB, 11K)...
