Francisco Antonio Pe?a¡attended Instituto Ibere High School in Santiago, Dominican Republic¡ is the son of five-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove Award-winning catcher Tony Pe?a¡his brother, Tony Pe?a Jr., from 2006-2009 made 327 career appearances for the Braves and Royals¡ played on the 2001 Little League World Series team from Bronx, New York, where he was a teammate of star pitcher Danny Almonte¡is left-handed but at an early age was taught by his father to throw right-handed.

Was a non-roster invitee with Cincinnati and hit .316 with two home runs and four RBI in 10 games¡was added to the Reds 60-man player pool on July 1 but did not make an appearance on the active roster¡was on the Taxi Squad for the Aug. 5-9 road trip¡as part of the 40-player Postseason pool, accompanied the team on the final road trip of the season and then to the Wild Card Series at Atlanta...was not added to the roster for either series.

In 74 apps at Class AAA affiliates for the Cardinals and Giants hit .290 with 20 doubles, 17 HR and 50 RBI for Memphis and Sacramento... Was a non-roster invitee to Cardinals Major League spring training camp... Began the season at Memphis...on 5/2 was traded to the Giants for cash and was assigned to Sacramento, where he spent the rest of the minor league season...On 11/4 elected free agency...on 12/10 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract with an invitation to 2020 Major League spring training camp.

Threw out 30 percent of would-be base stealers (15-for-50) and allowed just two passed balls in 57 games withLas Vegas...batted .257 with 15 doubles, nine homers and a career-best .459 slugging percentage...
