2023
Spent most of the season at Triple-A Salt Lake where he went 3-5 with a save and a 5.58 ERA in 36 relief appearances¡also had five stints with Los Angeles (AL) and compiled a 7.45 ERA and .913 opponents OPS in eight relief appearances...Struck out 10 batters in 9.2 innings with the Angels but also walked six...Allowed a .275 opponents batting average, including .222 (6-for-27) with a .649 OPS against right-handed hitters compared to .385 (5-for-13) with both of his home runs and a 1.467 OPS against left-handers...Did not inherit any runners and first batters faced were 1-for-5 (.200) with two walks and a hit by pitch (.500 on-base percentage)...With Salt Lake, he struck out 56 batters in 40.1 innings (12.50 per nine innings) but also walked 24 (5.36 per nine innings)...Had minor league career highs in runs (29) and matched his high in losses (5)¡his 5.58 ERA was his highest as a minor leaguer...Allowed a .247 batting average, which broke down to .229 (22-for-96) with an .808 OPS against right-handed hitters compared to .274 (17-for-62) with an .829 OPS against lefthanders...Opponents hit .296 with runners in scoring position¡surrendered five of his seven home runs with runners on base...Converted 1-of-6 (16.7%) save opportunities¡allowed 5-of-11 (45.5%) inherited runners to score¡first batters faced were 8-for-31 (.258) with four walks and a hit by pitch...Tossed at least one inning in 31 of his 36 appearances...Pitched for Mexico in the World Baseball Classic during the spring and did not allow a run in three appearances (2.1 ip, 1 h, 1 bb, 3 so)...Went 0-2 with two saves and a 5.56 ERA in 11 relief appearances with Obregon in the Mexican Pacific Winter League following the season.

Spent nearly entire season with Triple-A Salt Lake, and led Bees staff with 46 appearances... With Salt Lake, held right-handers to a .186 (18/97) average for the season with just one home run allowed... Tallied eight consecutive scoreless appearances (7.2 IP) from July 28 - Aug. 23... Pitched to a 2.08 ERA (8.2 IP - 2 ER) in day games, compared with a 4.14 ERA (37 IP - 17 ER) at night... Had contract selected by Angels, Aug. 26 as a substitute player on roster for series at Toronto...Appeared in two games, including a scoreless inning in Angels debut Aug. 26 and was returned to Salt Lake following the series.
2019
Split his campaign between the big-league club and El Paso (AAA)…matched his minor league career-high with 4 wins (also, 2016) and gave up a career-high 8 HR with the Chihuahuas...was recalled 6 times from ELP throughout the season...His 13.15 SO/9 rate finished 2nd on the club behind only Kirby Yates' 14.98 SO/9 rate...Recalled by SD April 12 and made his ML debut that same day at ARI, earning the win behind 0.2-scoreless IP with 1 SO...became the 4th Padre reliever to earn the win in his ML debut, joining Jeremy Fikac (August 16, 2001 vs. NYM), Dustin Hermanson (May 8, 1995 vs. LAD) and Larry Hardy (April 28, 1974 vs. PHI)...Earned his 2nd ML win in his 3rd career outing on May 8 vs. NYM, which was also the 2,000th all-time by Mexicanborn ML pitchers...also recorded his 1st-career at-bat that night (SO)...In September, finished the season with just 2 ER allowed in 9 appearances and 10.0 IP, posting a 1.80 ERA while limiting hitters to a .184 clip...Held opponents scoreless in 15 of his 27 ML outings…gave up multiple runs on 5 occasions...Relied on 4 pitches: four seamer (59.6%), slider (24.2%), sinker (14.4%) and curve (1.7%)…22 of his 38 SO came off his fastball...With no one on base while with SD, opponents hit just .154, but with runners on, opponents hit .400 against him...For ELP, began the season with a 5.40 ERA through 8 appearances in April but settled in to post a 0.55 ERA in 12 combined outings in May and June (1.23 ERA in 6 May outings and 0.00 ERA in 6 June appearances)...tossed 2.0 IP in 12 of his 34 appearances and tossed more than 1.0 IP in 15 appearances...Limited Triple-A RHB to a .186 AVG while LHB hit .280 against him...big league RHB hit .229 while LHB hit .250.

Gerardo Reyes (pronounced: heh-RAHR-doh) posted a 2.77 ERA between Lake Elsinore (A) and San Antonio (AA), combining to fan a career-high 69 batters...Owned a 1.26 WHIP in 31 games with SA and his one HR allowed tied for seventh-fewest among all minor leaguers (min. 45 appearances)...Averaged at 11.2 SO/9 IP, his highest mark in a single season...Threw just one wild pitch on the year...his sole errant pitch came after he threw 10 wild pitches in 2017 with LE...Made his first-career postseason performance in the Pacific Coast League semi-final round with El Paso (AAA)...in three appearances, combined for 3.1 IP while allowing no hits, no runs, two BB and striking out five...went 2-for-2 in converting save opportunities...In the 2018 Mexican Winter League for Yaquis de Obregon, finished with a perfect 0.00 ERA, making 19 scoreless appearances (18.0 IP) and fanning 20 with seven walks, nine hits allowed, no HR and a .153 opponent clip...also did not allow a single hit with RISP, striking out five in such scenarios.
