Missed most of the season after having surgery on his right ankle in February...Did appear in two games for the GCL Pirates, five games with Bradenton (Tigers' A) and seven games with Altoona (Tigers' AA).

2011

Hit .276 (105-for-381) with 13 doubles, seven triples, five homers, 26 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 96 minor league games between Lakeland (Tigers' A) and Erie (Tigers' AA)...Began season with Lakeland, where he made 61 starts at shortstop and one at second base (6/9 at Daytona Beach)...Homered in his first game on 4/7 vs. Tampa and produced a .333 (27-for-81) average in 20 games during the month of April...Had five hits on 5/4 vs. Clearwater to raise season average to .363... Hit safely in his final 10 games with Lakeland (16-for-47, .340)...Was promoted to Erie on 6/18 and hit safely in each of his first four Double-A games...Homered in his fourth game with the SeaWolves on 6/23 at Reading...Made 25 starts at shortstop and seven at second base while playing with Erie.

Spent the majority of the 2008 season with Single-A Lakeland after having his contract assigned to the club on June 5...Had his contract transferred from Lakeland to the Gulf Coast League Tigers on June 13 -- saw action in 13 games with the Gulf Coast League Tigers before his contract was transferred back to Lakeland for the remainder of the season on July 10....Batted .438 (14-for-32) with two doubles and eight RBI over a season-high eight-game hitting streak July 23-August 1.

2007

Made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Tigers after signing with Detroit as a non-drafted free agent on May 3, 2007...Selected to the Dominican Summer League's mid-season all-star squad...Posted a 13-game hitting streak July 15-August 1, batting .333 (18-for-54) with 13 RBI.
