Jonathan Paul Arencibia…participated in the Rangers 2014 Winter Caravan after taking part in Toronto's winter tour each of the previous 3 years…is engaged to Kimberly Perry, the lead vocalist of the country music band The Band Perry and spent part of the off-season touring with the band.

2013

Started 115 games at catcher and 3 as the DH in his final season with Toronto…set career highs for games (138) and at bats (474)…ranked 2nd on the club in at bats, was 3rd in games, and placed 5th in homers (21), RBI (55), and total bases (173)…had a team high 148 strikeouts…had the lowest batting average (.194) and on-base percentage (.227) among all major league players with at least 450 at bats…played for the United States in the World Baseball Classic, going 1-for-5 in 2 games.

2012

Finished with 18 home runs in his 2nd full season and now has 42 as a catcher ranking 4th on the all-time Blue Jays list for catchers...Was placed on the disabled list on July 26 after being hit on the right hand by a foul ball vs. OAK on the 25th...Suffered a non-displaced fracture and did not return until Sept. 7...Batted .242 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI in 81 games prior to the injury and .197 with two home runs and six RBI in 21 games following...In his final 10 games did bat .379 with two home runs and six RBI...Finished T-3rd among AL catchers with 52 RBI and 5th with 17 home runs...Hit a game-winning home run on Opening Day at CLE in the 16th inning...Was the second year in a row he has homered on Opening Day and the 3rd year in a row he has homered in his first game...Only Jack Hannahan currently has a longer streak at four years...Had his best month in May posting a .278 average with eight home runs and 19 RBI... Spent the majority of the season with Las Vegas (AAA), leading the minors in home runs for much of the season prior to being promoted to Toronto on Aug. 5... ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS: Made his Major League debut on Aug. 7 vs. TB... Became the first player in the modern era to record four hits, including two home runs in his Major League debut, finishing the day 4-5 with one double, two home runs and three RBI... Hit the first pitch he saw at the Major League level for a home run off James Shields... Appeared in five games before being optioned back to Las Vegas Aug. 19, before returning in Sept... Appeared in a total 11 games, starting in 10... In his final 10 games, recorded only one hit in 30 at-bats... SERVING NOTICE: Was named PCL MVP... Was named a mid-season and post-season All-Star in AAA after batting .301 with 32 home runs and 85 RBI... The 32 home runs were T-3rd for most by a Blue Jays minor leaguer in team history... Was selected as the R. Howard Webster (MVP) winner at Las Vegas... Was 2nd in the PCL in slugging percentage and 3rd in home runs... Batted .400 in June with 22 extra base hits... Spent the entire season at Las Vegas, his first at the AAA level... LONG BALL: Belted 21 home runs to rank 2nd on the 51s... Recorded 54 extra base hits, 3rd most on the club... BIG FINISH: Hit 10 home runs over the season's final two months, batting .261 and adding 27 RBI... Had three multi-home run games, with two coming in the teams final nine games... BEHIND THE PLATE: Caught 104 games, throwing out 25% of base stealers (27-107)... Collected hits in 10 of his final 11 games, including eight consecutive.

2008

Began the season with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League (A), appearing in 59 games... Batted .315 (78-248) with 22 doubles, 13 home runs & drove in 62 runs... Was promoted to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League (AA) on June 16... In 67 games with New Hampshire, batted .282 (74-262) with 14 doubles, 14 home runs & had 43 RBI... Was one of three Dunedin Blue Jays to be named to the Mid-season All-Star game played on June 14 in Viera, Florida... Was the starting catcher & finished the contest going 2-for-3 with a run & an RBI... Was named Florida State League Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks from May 19-25 & May 26-June 1... Named the Organizational Player of the Month in May with Dunedin (.350 AVG, 14 2B, 5 HR, 31 RBI, 5 BB)... Was named to the Arizona Fall League All-Prospect Team... Batted .274 (95-260) with four home runs & 23 RBI in 27 Arizona Fall League contests... Combined between Dunedin & New Hampshire, appeared in 103 games behind the plate where he threw out 31 of 90 attempted base stealers (34.4 %).

2007

In his first professional season, batted .254 with three home runs and 25 RBI in 63 games for the New York Penn- League champion Auburn Doubledays... Made 56 starts at the catcher position... Threw out 26 of 77 attempted base stealers (33.8%)... Led the Doubledays in doubles with 17... Hit his first career home run on June 29 vs. Williamsport... Batted .308 (28-91) with one home run and 13 RBI in 24 games in August... From Aug. 1-18 batted .375 (18-48), recording a hit in 11 of 12 contests over that span.
