Missed entire season recovering from surgery to repair olecranon in right elbow

Saw action in 31 games with the Tigers before being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a non-displaced fracture of his olecranon on June 29, 2010 -- marked his most appearances since he saw action in 62 games during his rookie season in 2006. ...Equaled a career high with five strikeouts on April 24 at Texas -- matched the high with five strikeouts on May 8 at Cleveland. ...Tabbed the Tigers Pitcher of the Month for April after compiling a 2-0 record, 1.23 ERA (14.2IP/2ER) and 16 strikeouts in 10 outings during the month. ...Had a screw inserted to stabilize the non-displaced fracture of the olecranon, a procedure performed by Dr. Stephen Lemos at the Detroit Medical Center on July 12. ...Compiled a 1.93 ERA (18.2IP/4ER) in 14 appearances at Comerica Park...posted a 3.20 ERA (19.2IP/7ER) in 17 outings on the road.
