Around 2 stints on the disabled list (3/30-5/13, 7/15-7/21) established a career high with 53 apps in his Reds debut...began the year on the 15-day DL recovering from February 2010 "Tommy John" surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow...before he was reinstated on 5/14, from 4/11-5/13 posted a 2.30 era in 12 rehab apps for Carolina and Louisville...in the middle of July was on the Reds' DL again with a strained right forearm...was reinstated on 7/22 and for the Reds posted a 3.38era in his last 29 apps of the season...in the 13th inning of the 4-3 win on 7/29 vs SF contributed to the winning rally with a single off Brian Wilson in his first career plate appearance, then was credited with the victory...in the 14-inning, 5-4 win vs Wsh on 8/28 didn't allow a run in 3.0 innings, tied for the longest outing of his career...pitched innings 11, 12 and 13.

Spent the season on Class AAA Louisville's disabled list following "Tommy John" surgery on 2/2 to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow...went to spring training as a non-roster invitee...on 7/22 the Reds selected his contract and placed him on the 60-day disabled list.

Made 62 relief apps for the Angels and Class AAA Salt Lake...in June and July was bothered by a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow...began the season with LAA and posted a 5.55era in 25 apps before he was optioned on 6/9...at Salt Lake posted a 2.18era in 19 apps surrounding a stint on the DL...was recalled on 8/8 and in his last 18 apps of the season posted a 6.53era for the Angels...was not named to the postseason roster...following the season was non-tendered and became a free agent...on 1/22 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract with an invitation to 2010 Major League spring training camp...threw 2.2 scoreless innings for Aguilas in the Dominican Winter League before the right elbow injury cut short his winter season.

In his first season as a reliever recorded a 2.40era and 10 saves in 25 apps for Class AA Arkansas and Class AAA Salt Lake...also made 28 apps and had 4 saves at Class A Rancho Cucamonga...with 10 saves at Arkansas tied for the staff lead...was a Texas League All-Star.
2006
He was promoted from Class A Rancho Cucamonga to Double-A Arkansas on July 2. Went 5-6 with a 2.30 ERA for the Quakes (15 starts) and was 2-3 with a 6.53 ERA for the Travelers (11 starts). Arredondo pitched a five-hit shutout against Wichita in his first start for Arkansas. He struck out eight and walked two for the first complete game of his career. Arredondo struck out 163 batters during his 2006 campaign, including 115 in his time with Rancho Cucamonga. He has been in the Angels organization since 2002, but he has only been a starting pitcher since 2005. Arredondo was converted to a pitcher in 2004 after never batting above .300 as a shortstop in three years in the Minor Leagues.

In postseason with Orem, he made two starts in club's Pioneer League Championship season ... Defeated Ogden, 2-1, Sept. 9 at Orem (8 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 13 SO, 1 WP) and was not involved in club's 3-2 win at Helena (7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 SO) in championship clincher ... Named Pioneer League All-Star Honorable Mention.
2004
In 2004, played for Angels rookie club at Mesa...During season made transition from shortstop to pitcher...Batted .191 (13/68) with six runs scored, two doubles and three RBI in 28 games as shortstop...Appeared in eight games in relief, posting no record and a 2.92 ERA (12.1 IP - 4 ER)...Walked four batters and struck out 14.
