Sustained a strained left oblique muscle during the 1st week of spring training in mid-February and did not pitch in Cactus League games¡recovered in time to participate in the start of Angels Summer Camp in July but injured his right elbow while pitching in a 7/10 intrasquad game¡underwent ligament reconstruction surgery on 7/22 performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, TX¡spent the remainder of the season on the Angels 60-day IL¡was not tendered a 2021 contract offer by LAA on 12/2/20, making him a free agent.
