Lendy began his pro career as an infielder in Philadelphia's farm system in 2007, but was converted to a pitcher to begin the 2010 season...was claimed by Chicago in the major league portion of the 2011 Rule 5 Draft...Is 7-4 with a 2.43 ERA (30 ER/111.0 IP) in 38 minor league games (12 starts) since being converted from shortstop following the 2009 campaign...Batted .239 (106-for-444) with four homers and 46 RBI in 132 minor league contests as an infielder from 2007-09...Originally signed by Philadelphia as a non-drafted free agent, December 31, 2006.

2011

Lendy went 4-2 with a 2.54 ERA (13 ER/46.0 IP) and 46 strikeouts in 21 games, all but two as a reliever, for Single-A Lakewood...limited foes to a .20 batting average (37-for-168)...Held right-handed hitters to a .184 batting average (18-for-98)...Surrendered one home run in his 46.0 innings of work...walked just 16 batters...Went 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA (2 ER/14.0 IP) in seven July relief outings.

2010

In his first season on the mound, Lendy combined to go 3-2 with a 2.35 ERA (17 ER/65.0 IP) in 17 games (10 starts) for the Dominican Summer League Phillies, the Gulf Coast League Phillies and Single-A Williamsport...Named the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Week, August 16-22, and went on to go 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA (11 ER/44.2 IP) in 13 games (six starts) for Williamsport.

2009

In his third, and final, season as an infielder in the Phillies farm system, Lendy batted .179 (14-for-78) in 27 games for the Gulf Coast League Phillies...was his second-straight season with the club.

2008

Lendy hit .212 (36-for-170) with three home runs and 19 RBI in 45 games for the Gulf Coast League Phillies...stole seven bases without being caught.

2007

In his first pro season, Lendy batted .286 (56-for-196) with 36 runs scored, a home run and 20 RBI in 60 games for the Dominican Summer League Phillies...stole 12 bases and was caught twice.
