Graduated from Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tenn...earned All-State honors as a senior in 2008...helped guide the Admirals to a 2008 State Championship... Was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 46th round of the 2008 draft, but elected to attend the University of Tennessee... Played three seasons for the Volunteers as a two-way player...made 82 appearances (52 starts) primarily as a catcher and outfielder, and pitched in 56 games (2 starts)...owned a career batting average of .262...posted a career ERA of 4.43 (40ER/81.1IP) with 102 strikeouts and just 30 walks... While at UT, played with former Astros infielder Matt Duffy, and Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts... Drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 19th round of the 2011 draft...was signed by Rays scout Milt Hill... Added to a Major League 40-man roster with Miami on Nov. 20, 2014... Was signed by Houston as a minor league free agent on Dec. 12, 2017 with an invite to Major League Spring Training.

2017

Split the season between Double A Biloxi and Triple A Colorado Springs in the Milwaukee Brewers organization...was named a Southern League Midseason All-Star...combined to post a 5.26 ERA (29ER/49.2IP) in 53 appearances with 63 strikeouts... opened the season with Biloxi, going 3-2 with 20 saves and a 3.34 ERA (12ER/32.1IP) before getting a promotion to Triple A for the first time in his career on July 13...was leading the Southern League in saves prior to his promotion...finished tied for third on Biloxi's all-time saves list...made five relief appearances for the Sky Sox, giving up 11 earned runs in 5.1 innings of work...finished the season with Biloxi, striking out 19 batters in 12.0 innings.

2016

Began the season on a rehab assignment with the Rookie Level GCL Marlins as he was recovering from a right elbow strain...appeared in five games with Class A Advanced Jupiter of the Florida State League...ended the season with the Double A Jacksonville Suns... allowed two earned runs in six appearances...struck out 12 of the 32 batters he faced...was selected by the Brewers in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft on Dec. 8.

2014

Split season between Double-A Montgomery in Tampa Bay system and Double-A Jacksonville, after trade to Miami on July 7...Combined to go 3-2, 1.47 (61.1 ip/10 er), and 14-of-15 in save chances, between the Clubs, with 80 strikeouts and 30 walks...Was 6-of-6 in save chances for Montgomery, where he made 24 appearances prior to trade...All six saves, as well as two victories, came over course of ?nal 13 games with Biscuits...Struck out four batters over a season-high 3.0 innings on June 30 at Tennessee, earning win...Had multiple strikeouts in 14 of 24 outings, including season-high four on May 22 vs. Huntsville and June 30 at Tennessee...Held opponents to .148 (16x108) average in 33.2 innings with Biscuits...Made Jacksonville debut with 2.0 perfect innings on July 8 vs. Chattanooga, with two strikeouts...Converted first three save chances for Suns before suffering only blown save of season on July 22 vs. Birmingham (1.0 ip, h, 3 r, 0 er)...Allowed just two home runs on season, both on August 19 vs. Pensacola; was one of just two games with Suns in which he al-lowed more than one walk, issuing three...Had stretch of five games from July 27-Aug. 10 in which he struck out 15 batters over 8.1 innings, including career-high tying five punchouts on Aug. 1 at Huntsville (also, Aug. 12, 2013 vs. Bradenton)...After issuing 23 walks in 24 appearances (33.2 ip) for Montgomery, walked just seven batters in 20 outings (27.2 ip) for Suns

Appeared in 20 games with the Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods and struck out 36, while walking 10...went 3-for-3 in road save opportunities and posted a 0.73 ERA (1ER/12.1IP) with six walks and 14 strikeouts in eight games...appeared in 12 games with Class A Advanced Charlotte...following the season, played for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League...owned a 2.08 ERA (2ER/8.2IP) in nine relief appearances.
