Michael Warren Maroth (pronounced mah-ROTH)...wife Brooke...sons Nolan (10/23/03) and Tate (11/25/05), Kettie (10/12/09)...1995 graduate of Boone High School (Orlando, Fla.)...was district MVP and Player of the Year in 1995 and participated in the All-Star Game...attended the Universtiy of Central Florida for three years (1995-98) majoring in business administration...went 4-4 with a 4.73 ERA and three saves in 24 appearances as a sophomore...went 3-3, with a 4.09 ERA in 13 games as a Junior in 1998...pitched with Staunton in the Shenandoah Valley League during the summer of 1996, going 1-2 with a 2.43 ERA and three saves in 15 games.

2009

Spent Spring Training with the Toronto Blue Jays...suffered a season-ending knee injury two days into workouts and did not pitch in an official Minor League or Major League game...underwent surgery in April to repair the torn ligament in his knee...pitched in the Puerto Rican Winter Leagues in December and January of 2010 with Indios de Mayaguez, going 2-0, 2.57 (28.0 IP, 8 ER) in seven games (five starts).

2008
