In 2021, opened his second season with the White Sox before he was acquired by the Cubs at the trade deadline, along with RHP Codi Heuer, for RHP Craig Kimbrel... Made his first Opening Day roster with the White Sox and appeared in 54 games before he suffered a proximal right hamstring tear while running to first base June 9 at Toronto... Placed on the 60-day injured list the next day ... underwent season-ending surgery to repair proximal hamstring tendon tears June 15 at Rusch University Medical Center... Recorded his first career game-ending hit, an RBI double on an 0-2 count in the ninth April 24 vs. Texas... Hit his first career home run, a solo shot off J.A.
