Is one of just two players and the only pitcher in Major League history who was born in Guam...The other, infielder John Hattig, appeared in 13 games with Toronto in 2006...His father, Dave, served in the Coast Guard for 30 years and was stationed in Guam when Sean was born...Played on a Florida Travel Baseball team with former Blue Jays teammates Bo Bichette and Forrest Wall in 2013...Played travel ball in Florida with current teammate David Peterson as well...His brother David Reid-Foley pitched in the Dodgers' Minor League system from 2014-16.

2023

Returned to the Majors on Aug. 23, tossing a scoreless inning against the Braves in Atlanta...Posted a 3.52 ERA in eight games... Was unscored upon in seven of his eight outings...Had 16 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work.

2021

Had seven stints with the Mets...Was recalled for the first time on April 22...Optioned on May 4...Also was with the Mets from May 5-6, May 11-31, June 14-23, June 28-July 4 and September 26 through the end of the season...Was one of three pitchers in the majors to have two separate outings of 3.0 perfect innings in relief (April 22 at Chicago and May 17 at Atlanta)...It was the second time in Mets history a reliever has had multiple appearances of at least 3.0 perfect innings in a single season...The other was Rick Aguilera with three in 1989...Had 26 strikeouts in 20.2 innings (11.3 strikeouts per nine)...Six of his 12 outings in the majors were 2.0 innings or more.

2020

Made four separate stints with the Blue Jays, splitting the rest of his campaign between the club’s alternate training site and the taxi squad...Allowed three hits and one earned run across five relief appearances (6.2 innings) for a 1.35 ERA and a .125 opponents’ batting average...Did not allow a home run after holding a 1.62 HR/9 in 2018 and a 1.42 HR/9 in 2019...Recalled on Aug. 26 and made his season debut with a 1-2-3 ninth inning vs. Boston...Was his first MLB appearance since Aug, 20, 2019, at Los Angeles-NL.

2019

Posted a 5-0 record with a 2.03 ERA for the Fisher Cats before a promotion to Triple-A Buffalo on May 24 ... Went 7-5 for the Bisons whille putting up a 3.90 ERA over 15 starts ... Threw 1st career complete game on June 10 at Columbus (7.0 IP, 3H, 1ER, 0BB, 9K) ... Earned IL Pitcher of the Week on July 23 after picking up two wins in two starts, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out 12 batters with three walks over 12.0 innings ... Had his contract selected by Toronto on Aug. 13... Made his MLB debut that night in Kansas City... Took the loss, allowing six hits and three runs over 5.0 innings (1HR, 3BB, 3K)...Became the 28th pitcher in team history to go 5+ innings and allow three-or-fewer runs in his MLB debut... Was assigned to Double-A New Hampshire for the season, the highest level of play in his career ... Made a career-high 27 starts and set a new personal best with 132.2 innings pitched ... Posted a career-high 5.09 ERA while issuing 53 walks, his most in any season ... Did not win or lose more than two games in a row ... Pitched two scoreless outings in three starts on June 23 vs. Binghamton (7.0IP) and July 4 at Portland (6.0IP)...Allowed four runs over 6.0 innings on June 28 ... Tied a career high with 12 strikeouts on July 21 at Trenton (had 12-SO on June 16, 2016 for Advanced-A Dunedin).

2016

Started with Lansing again in 2016...Allowed just four earned runs over his first five starts (21.1IP, 1.66 ERA) ... Spent time on the DL from April 30-May 9, 2016...Landed there again from Aug. 14 until the end of the season ... Struck out 10+ batters on three occasions in 2016, including a career-high 12-SO performance on June 16 at Clearwater (7.0 IP, 2H, 0R, 3BB) ... Was named a Minor-League Second-Team All-Star by Baseball America following the 2016 season.

2015

Was assigned to Class-A Lansing to begin the 2015 season...Posted a 3.48 ERA in 15 starts before a promotion to Advanced-A Dunedin...Went 1-5 with a 5.23 ERA over eight starts for Dunedin before returning to Lansing for his final two starts of the year...Landed on the DL on Sept. 4 for the rest of the season.

2014

Started his pro career with 22.2 innings for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays in 2014.
