Was optioned to Charlotte for the remainder of the season following his third appearance on 6/13 vs. Detroit (1 ER/0.1 IP). Opened the season with the Barons and made 12 starts … limited right-handers to a .213 average (34-160). Went 2-2 in April before losing five of his six decisions in May and June (went 1-4 in May). Earned his first win on 4/17 at Jacksonville (2 ER/6.0 IP) … threw a three-hit shutout on 4/28 vs. Pensacola … allowed just one run on four hits over 8.0 IP in a win on 5/14 at Tennessee.
