During both visits he spent time answering questions, taking photos, and signing autographs for the campers...While with the Guardians organization, became a member of the True2U program where he served as a mentor to a class of eighth grade boys at Valley View Boys Leadership Academy in Cleveland. His mentorship consisted of monthly visits both virtually and in-person. The program is designed for mentors to guide Cleveland Metropolitan School District eighth grade classrooms as they make their decision on where they will attend high school.

Posted a 2-2 record, 4.64 ERA (22 ER/42.2 IP) in a combined 16 appearances (five starts) between the Marlins and Guardians. Walked seven batters against 28 strikeouts, and held opponents to a .232 AVG (38-for-164)¡Started the season on Cleveland's 15-day IL with viral illness. Was activated and made his season debut on April 15...Made seven appearances (four starts) with the Guardians over four stints: April 15-17, May 21-28, June 24-27, July 12-Aug. 4 before being designated for assignment on Aug. 6. Spent entire season at the Major League level, splitting time between the bullpen and rotation and was an invaluable member of the pitching staff, filling a variety of roles throughout the campaign (finished fifth on the team in innings)...Recorded a season/career-high 5.0 IP in his first career relief outing on Apr. 3 at Oakland...
