Yefry Ramirez…born Nov. 28, 1993 in Santo Domino, Dominican Republic…began professional career as an infielder after originally signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a non-drafted free agent on January 25, 2011...converted to pitcher prior to the 2012 season.

2021

Saw action with Triple-A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers after signing a contract on May 5 as a free agent with Los Angeles... Pitched in 25 games (22 starts) with Triple-A Oklahoma City, posting a 6-4 record with a 5.02 ERA (63 ER/113.0 IP)... Recorded a 9.16 strikeout-per-nine innings mark, striking out 115 batters against just 51 walks…also recorded a 1.45 WHIP in 25 minor league games... Pitched in one game for the Dodgers on Aug. 1, firing 2.0 scoreless frames with two strikeouts and a walk…was his first appearance at the Major League level since Sept. 28, 2019.

2020

Signed with the New York Mets as a free agent on January 8 and was invited to Spring Training but spent the season at the Alternate Training Site, not pitching in any games.

2019

Spent his season switching between Triple-A Norfolk and Baltimore before getting traded to Pittsburgh on May 27…rest of year was split between Triple-A Indianapolis and the Pirates...With Triple-A Norfolk, the righty started all four games he pitched in, going 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA (3 ER/18.0 IP) with 24 strikeouts…pitched in four games with Baltimore (one start), registering a 0-2 record with a 6.97 ERA (8 ER/10.1 IP) with 11 strikeouts...With Triple-A Indianapolis, he went 1-4 in 15 games (five starts) with 58 strikeouts, 29 walks, and a 5.20 ERA (26 ER/45.0 IP)…also saw action in nine games with Pittsburgh, pitching 14.0 innings and allowing 15 runs to score on 19 hits…struck out 16 batters and walked seven...Produced a 9.99 strikeout-per-nine innings record at the Major League level, totaling 27 punchouts in 24.1 innings…also had a 11.71 strikeout-per-nine innings mark in Triple-A...Struck out nine batters in 10.0 total innings in two different instances (April 25 and Aug. 17) despite taking the loss in both games.

Made his Major League debut on June 13 against Boston, allowing three runs on four hits (one home run) while striking out six and walking two over 4.1 innings…stuck out Xander Bogaerts in the first inning for his first career strikeout...Earned his first career win on July 24 vs. Seattle, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing three hits with three strikeouts…was the longest outing by an Orioles reliever in 2018...Made 17 appearances for the Orioles (12 starts) in five stints with the team...Made 14 starts for Triple-A Norfolk, going 3-5 with a 3.88 ERA (31 ER/72.0 IP) and 72 strikeouts.

Began the season in the Yankees organization with Double-A Trenton...Traded to the Orioles on 7/31 in exchange for future considerations and assigned to Double-A Bowie...Went a combined 15-3 with a 3.47 ERA (48 ER/124.1 IP) in 24 starts between the two clubs...His 15 wins marked a single-season career-best and were the most in the Eastern League...Tied a career-high in innings pitched (124.1)...Ranked seventh in the EL in strikeouts (117)...Named an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star while with Trenton...At the time of his trade, led the Thunder in wins (10) and strikeouts (91)...Named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for 5/15-5/21 after going 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA (3 ER/13.0 IP) in two starts... 2016

Combined to go 7-9 with a 2.82 ERA (124.1IP, 82H, 43R/39ER, 32BB, 132K, 9HR) in 22 starts with Single-A Charleston and Single-A Tampa…ranked third among all Yankees farmhands in strikeouts and seventh in ERA. In 11 starts with Single-A Charleston, went 4-2 with a 2.80 ERA (61.0IP, 48H, 20R/19ER, 14BB, 66K, 4HR)…was promoted to Tampa on 6/30, going 3-7 with a 2.84 ERA (63.1IP, 34H, 23R/20ER, 18BB, 66K, 5HR) in 11 starts. Allowed 1ER in 7.0IP (3H, 0BB) with a career-high 11K in his first start with Tampa on 6/30 vs. Lakeland en route to being named FSL "Pitcher of the Week" for the period from 6/27-7/3…was again named the league's "Pitcher of the Week" from 8/22-28, after holding Dunedin to 1H over 8.0 scoreless innings on 8/24 (0BB, 8K, 1HP). Was added to the Yankees' 40-man roster on 11/18/16.

Split the season between the AZL Diamondbacks and Rookie-level Missoula, combining to go 6-3 with a 3.06 ERA (23 ER/67.2 IP) in 13 games (10 starts)...In seven games (four starts) in the Arizona League, went 4-2 with a 1.93 ERA (8 ER/37.1 IP)...Promoted to Missoula on 7/29 and went 2-1 with a 4.45 ERA (15 ER/30.1 IP) in six starts.
