Colorado Rockies announce details of Coors Field 30th anniversary celebrations on April 26
DENVER ¨C The Colorado Rockies announced today details surrounding the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Coors Field on Saturday, April 26, when the Rockies take on the Cincinnati Reds at 1:10 p.m. Fans are invited to join the festivities as the organization honors three decades of Rockies baseball at 20th and Blake, 30 years to the day of the first regular season game at Coors Field.
Former Rockies outfielder and Blake Street Bomber Dante Bichette will return to Coors Field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch as part of pregame festivities.
A special 30th Anniversary ticket package, which includes a limited-edition Dante Bichette t-shirt, will be available for purchase online. Fans can secure their seats and t-shirt at rockies.com/themes.
To mark the occasion, the Rockies will be offering a throwback concessions combo, featuring a Super Dog and medium fountain drink for just $5. Fans can also enjoy an exclusive Coors Field 30th Anniversary Lager, brewed inside the ballpark at The SandLot Brewery, at various locations throughout the ballpark.
Throughout the game, the Rockies will highlight key moments from the 1995 season, bringing fans back to the ballpark¡¯s early days with a ¡®90s-themed atmosphere, including music, scoreboard visuals and throwbacks to the Rockies¡¯ inaugural postseason run. A special 30th anniversary baseball will also be used on the field throughout the game, with game-used baseballs available for purchase at the Authentics kiosk.
