The Astros will honor Jackie Robinson Day and his legacy on Friday, the first home game following Jackie Robinson Day on April 15. The Astros will host a private Breaking Barriers Forum pregame on Friday, at 5:30 p.m. with Astros players, coaches, alums and executives sharing their experience in breaking barriers and the importance of Jackie Robinson¡¯s nine values to success (Courage, Determination, Teamwork, Persistence, Integrity, Citizenship, Justice, Commitment and Excellence) with 50 high school Astros Youth Academy players. In addition, all 340 Astros Youth Academy Nike Jr. RBI Baseball/Softball League players will be invited to attend the game on Friday.
Jeremy Pe?a will host students from Smith Elementary School of Aldine ISD on Friday for his first Pe?a¡¯s Pals of 2025. In its third year, Pena¡¯s Pals is a program developed by Jeremy in partnership with the Astros Foundation. The program celebrates kids and their development in academics, character building and making healthy choices. During the 2025 season, Jeremy will choose a school/organization and pick five Pe?a Pals students each month based on character, grades and growth. Those five students will be treated to an Astros game courtesy of Pe?a, will attend batting practice, receive special Pe?a¡¯s Pals shirts and more.
The Astros will celebrate the Houston Rockets appearance in the 2025 NBA postseason, with legendary Rocket Gerald Green throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.
Hassler Elementary School will perform the National Anthem.
In a pregame ceremony, the Astros will welcome back 2022 World Series champion catcher Mart¨ªn Maldonado and 2024 outfielder Jason Heyward.

It is also City Connect Monday, and the team will wear their new specialty City Connect 2.0 uniforms. The Astros will be celebrating the fans during every Monday home game, with one-of-a-kind prizes to be given out to select fans at random each game.
