Liam Hendriks, Zack Kelly, and Richard Fitts to participate in Red Sox Holiday Caravan starting Wednesday
Players will visit Boston-area cancer centers, veterans, students, and young athletes
BOSTON, MA ¨C The Red Sox will bring the warmth and cheer of the holiday season to the Greater Boston community with the 2024 Holiday Caravan starting tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4, through Thursday, December 5. Over the two-day period, Red Sox players Liam Hendriks, Zack Kelly, and Richard Fitts will visit with patients battling cancer, as well as Veterans, BPS students, and young athletes across the city.
Wednesday¡¯s Caravan tour includes stops at the Hurley K-8 School in Boston, the New England Center and Home for Veterans, and the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. The Caravan continues Thursday with visits to pediatric cancer patients at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Yawkey Club of Roxbury.
The caravan will end Thursday afternoon with a visit to Boston Athletic Academy (BAA), an organization co-founded by 2007 Red Sox World Series Champion Manny Delcarmen. BAA educates and trains underprivileged student-athletes in an environment that recognizes their culture, language, customs, and their growth potential as individuals.
